we found this place on the michelin guide and decided to go for my partner’s birthday, so expectations were high. unfortunately, we were a little disappointed. initially, we really wanted to sit outside to celebrate, but the only tables they had set up were on a super uncomfortable slant, and they hadn’t set up their other outdoor seating yet and didn’t offer to set us a table (it was all set up by the time we left, with people sitting and dining). the seafood salad was quite good, but the mussel and squid pasta after was subpar - we had to send it back because we kept finding pieces of sharp shell throughout. when we told our server, he said ‘that’s normal,’ which I feel like is not true. i’ve had the full, intact shell in a mussel pasta, but not 1cm pieces with sharp corners. we got the mixed seafood after, which they gave us a larger portion of to make up for the pasta, and it was yummy and the grill was nice on the fish. we finished with the sorbet and it was fine. there wasn’t anything standout all in all. the service was meh and we would have appreciated a little more care. The food was hit and miss, and a little forgettable for a birthday, minus almost being stabbed in our mouths - we’ll definitely...

We were with our family at the restaurant on August 11 from 12:30 to 13:45. The food was excellent. The interior was also quite good. However, the waitress’s service was as if we had come to her home and demanded food for free. I even had to go myself to get my drink. When she noticed a French-speaking family at the next table, her attitude instantly changed, and she began making reverent gestures towards them. It even got to the point where, after asking if she could take our salt and oil, she immediately placed them on their table. But there were in one meter another set of this. Such behavior was rather strange. She had no sense of personal boundaries, crossing into our space as if she were in her own kitchen. This greatly spoiled the overall impression. I do not wish to describe the waitress so as not to be accused of racism and because I do not aim to harm her career, but the restaurant’s management should certainly pay attention to their staff. So if you would like to eat something really good, come here. But avoid the waitress or speak french. On the photo the place where we were having brunch. Maybe this will help to avoid her. Best...

Horrible experience - one star, just because zero is not possible. After having booked a table for a Saturday night, the first thing we’re told upon arrival is that we have to be fast since we have limited time to occupy the table, this by itself should have been a red light and we should’ve walked away (our mistake). The responsible for the restaurant was rude, and we were placed in the basement next to the toilet, when the main room had just a few tables occupied both on arrival and when we departed. The first dishes ordered were received before the normal cooking time, therefore making us think the dishes are ready and only warmed up to be served, a risotto and a spaghetti were on our table some 5 minutes after we ordered... The seafood in the pasta was frozen and not mentioned as such in the menu, and the mixed seafood grill (as a second dish) was also grilled in advance and warmed up to be served, not recommended. The care about the customer is completely absent in this place. Thank you for ruining our...

Indulge in the culinary delights of Soho, nestled in the heart of Genoa, Italy. From the moment you step through the door, you're greeted by a warm and inviting atmosphere that sets the stage for a great dining experience. The surprise menu curated by the chef takes you on a journey of flavours and textures, each dish a delightful surprise that showcases the creativity and skill of the kitchen. What truly sets Soho apart, was the warm atmosphere and impeccable service provided by our host Salih and the rest of the team. Their friendly demeanor and attention to detail make you feel like a cherished guest, enhancing the overall enjoyment of your evening. In particular, I want to express my appreciation for the improved pace at which the dishes were served after we mentioned it (piano/slower). In conclusion, whether you're a local or a visitor to Genoa, Soho comes highly recommended for an unforgettable dining experience that combines exceptional food, welcoming ambiance, and client-centric service. Warmly recommended.

The place pretents to be high end. But it's not despite that it's twice more expensive than a regular trattoria in the area. it seems nice and modern. Presentation of the dishes is good but taste is not. Out appetizers were quite good. Tartar was tasty. Pasta with pesto was overcooked. Probably it would be good by American standard but after eating in other places it was below the standard. Our main dishes were too salty. I like salty food and usually add salt before tasting but even by my standard it was too much. Grilled fish lacked the texture and was over done. The only edible part was langustin. Grilled veggies were salty as well. Venetian style soup was very spicy. Both dishes were big and good for sharing. the service was so so. The waiter was kind of ignorant. He paid much more attention to Italian couple at the next table. Overall other that appetizers the was was not good. AC barely worked. One small home style unit is absolutely inadequate for a large room overall we left disappointed.
