Ristorante Pizzeria G. Mazzini — Restaurant in Genoa

First day we really liked the service and the food. Second day we were in for a treat in the both the category worse food and service. We ordered a seafood spaghetti, actually the same day as before but the second time, it was horrible. Like they recooked or warmed up a left over from the buffet they serve during the day. It was dry, chewy, and the plait looked like a relentless onslaught. Moreover, the seafood spaghetti was cooked with tomato sauce while the menu stated that it was prepared with white sauce and basil (to our knowledge, as it should be). When we tried to discuss our disappointment, the staff simply walked away and pretended that he did not speak English. A while later he came back to offer us a measly 3 euro discount. Now for us it was not about the discount, but the total disregard for empathy, lack of customer focus and lack of any form of understanding was truly appalling. We were simply honed off and fogged off. Even when I reminded them that recooking seafood is actually very tricky and can cause severe food poisoning there was no real response or sign of any sympathy. What horrible place to eat! I just spent an hour tracking this place down on Google maps as I couldn't remember the name of it and I just rememberedhow bad my experience was. There was a picture of a good looking steak on the menu so I ordered it and asked for rare. I then saw the bloke in there put a cut of meat in the microwave and bring it out to me, baked to a sweaty crisp and unseasoned. When trying to send it back to the kitchen the server looked to be terrified of how his boss would react. (Young waiter was great) he then went to get his boss who started screaming at me when I sent it back at the start of the meal, before touching it. he eventually obliged and tried sneaking the charge back on the bill! He then tried to square up to me when I asked him politely to remove the charge, but luckily he was one of the least intimidating men I've met so I handed him the money for my girlfriend and her friends meal and walked off. I ordered tagliatelle al ragù and was served some horrible pasta with tasteless, split "cheesy" sauce (photo posted.) After telling the waiter it was inedible, he apologized and brought a new dish of tagliatelle al ragù, which was somehow even worse, with no meat and pasta so undercooked it was both inedible and flavorless (photo posted.) How do you have a restaurant in Italy and not know how to cook pasta?!

The salad with chicken kabob was...low effort and disappointing.

On the plus side, my wife enjoyed her spaghetti with seafood.

You can find MUCH better food for much better prices. I do not recommend...
