Trattoria D'ì Borgo — Restaurant in Greve in Chianti

We happened upon this wonderful little restaurant while in Greve for the day. It was very hot in Florence and we wanted to venture out. The food came promptly as soon as we ordered. The salads were fresh and the Caprese is delicious! All pastas were great yummy and we ask for the speciality with tomato sauce which I would highly recommend ! We enjoyed prosecco and great service.

Rarely do I give a rating of 5 stars or review a place but I feel obliged as not only was the food great but the owner and his family went above and beyond to organize us a way to travel to our accommodation in a nearby town through a friend. We thought here would be taxi's available of which there were not. When we were stranded they called a friend to taxi us personally and arrived in minutes! The owner is so jolly and always making jokes- he wants his customers to be happy and enjoy themselves. We cannot say that you enough to the family for their hospitality which was above and beyond the call of a restaurant.

We were heading to another restaurant in town, but we were a bit early, and they told us to leave till they were ready. So......we headed over to Di Borgo's where they welcomed us in, and we had the best dinner/night of our stay while in Greve. The food was outstanding, service superb, and they really treated us to an excellent evening. Georgio was really fun and along with his wife they recommended some of their favorites, the lasagna was the best I ever had, and the raviolis were to die for. Wine selection was excellent, affordable and good, and the deserts were phenomenal. If you're looking for a great dinner while in Greve, stop...

We had a wonderful meal here – the food was excellent, and the people are warm, welcoming, and truly eager to offer the best they have. We were pleasantly surprised to learn that the restaurant has been run by a Romanian family for 15 years, fully dedicated to their guests.

If you’re not sure what to order, just ask Mrs. Mariana – she will gladly recommend something. I went with her suggestion of the lasagna, which was absolutely sensational, while my girlfriend had the pici with guanciale and cheese, which was also delicious.
