So I've just eaten there this afternoon , great location, 1st waitress was lovely & very attentive. I ate a salad as did my girlfriend , they were very nice .
We noticed a slim shaven headed man in his late 50s in a blue shirt, absolutely soaked with sweat,( it is 30-32') in & out of the restaurant, waving at people , just waltzing about like he owned the place ( after seeing what I saw I guess he does own it. ) Id watched him moving a big sign outside , I'd seen him shaking hands & moving a few chairs about , talking to an elderly lady sitting outside . Then I saw him go inside & put his hands over the top of the glass counter ' feeling & touching the top of the food . Not once but TWICE . He gestured to the waiter behind the counter with the long hair & beard & reached over a 2nd TIME & was handling , touching the food again with no gloves on after he'd been working outside . I immediately stopped eating as it was absolutely gross .
He left a few minutes after Then the man who was working behind the bar with the beard then came outside & stood right inside the doorframe next to us and started smoking a cigarette. I watched him finish his cigarette, go back inside & immediately go back to work making drinks etc.
If the staff see the owner doing such gross actions around the food is it any wonder why the staff are not washing their hands & incorporating correct hygiene measures ?
We paid our bill & left...
Read moreâââââ Blu Bistrot is a fantastic spot! The staff is really friendly, and the panoramic view is absolutely stunningâperfect for relaxing or enjoying the scenery. The cappuccinos are excellent, and the quality of the pastries (especially the brioche), pizzas, and other treats is top-notch. Everything is fresh, flavorful, and beautifully prepared. I highly recommend it for anyone looking for a great coffee break or meal with a view. Five stars...
