Caffè Palmieri — Restaurant in Lecce

I know this place elicits differing views with some folk loving this place and others more or less hating it. We found it a great spot to sit outside and watch the flow of people passing through. Seems to have a regular clientele though there is a huge variety of people who frequent this spot.

Ho alloggiato una settimana nel bellissimo centro storico di Lecce con la mia ragazza, veniamo entrambi dalla Toscana e di conseguenza molto viziati per quanto riguarda il cibo ma soprattutto la caffetteria, i dolci, le paste e ciò che fa parte del pasto più importante della giornata, la colazione. A pochi passi da noi abbiamo trovato questo splendido bar, il palmieri, solo a pronunciarlo riesco a sentire ancora l'aroma del loro caffè, il profumo dei famosi pasticciotti e l'incredibile cordialità di tutto lo staff. Ci siamo sentiti a casa ed era diventata la nostra tappa fissa prima d'iniziare la giornata, immaginarmi i miei risvegli adesso senza palmieri ammetto che non sarà facile.
