Without doubt the best gelato I’ve ever had – Gelateria La Romana is an absolute must in Lecce! The flavours are out of this world, rich and creamy, with a huge variety to choose from. A large cone with four flavours is only €5, which is incredibly fair given the quality. I forgot to ask for the melted chocolate inside the cone (which I highly recommend!), and when I offered to pay for another one, the lovely staff kindly made me a new cone free of charge. Such kindness and genuine hospitality really made the experience special. Brilliant service, unbeatable gelato, and fantastic value – you simply cannot visit Lecce without stopping here.

Best gelato ever! I have been a fan since I tried it for the first time in Padova more than 10 years ago. Crema dal 1947 is the best flavour you will ever taste. All flavours are perfect. I can say that whereever in Italy I go, I always check if there is La Romana. No other gelato can match for me personally. And the lady working there...so friendly, cheerful with a big smile. Go there, you will enjoy all aspects!

After reading the reviews I got curious - good that we were nearby at the playground so we could try! From the 6 flavours we got, the mango was the very best! 🥭 They have exciting flavours like salted caramel with pecan nuts or crispy amarena. The small portion is 3.5 eur but you got 2 huge portion of 2 flavours for it! The staff is friendly too! I'm sure we'll need to come again! 🍨

This place is such a family friendly. All staffs are kind, polite and very attentive. Mehdi or Mahdi( tunisian staff, i am very sorry if i pronounce his name incorrectly) is such a lovely person. He is really kind and give us a very happy vibe when we went to this geletaria for Freppe and my duaghter Martina was totally head over heel with her fior di latte 🥰, Matteo ( our little boy) loved his yoghurt as well. Fabio is very nice and polite person. He always smile and very professional. We met him on our last day in Lecce...We already missed La romana especially our kids. Best place to enjoyed a very rich quality of ice creams. Love...

I'm a big fan of La Romana since discovering it in Rome six years ago. I'm very happy that all the branches are consistently excellent, this one included. The gelato is just so so so good. We went 4 times in 3 days!

Crema 1947 highly recommended (a perfect blend of vanilla custard and lemon) as is the hazelnut & almond blend that I can't remember the name of. Crepe, cone, or cup - all great options.

We were always served by very friendly ppl.
