Histeria Contemporanea — Restaurant in Lecce

Sadly we were disappointed by the food at Histeria. We went because of the high ratings, but after getting our food we questioned whether the rating were about the food or something else. My pizza was cold and the crust tasteless. Not at all like the sumptuous pizza we've become accustomed to here in Italy. My husband got the crab pasta and was terribly disappointed by the lack of crab. It seemed to be more about the show of crab than actually having crab to eat. It is a pretty cool looking dish to be sure. If the food wasn't enough of a disappointment, the atmosphere certainly made it complete. The couple next to us watched a football game, very loudly, on their cell phone the entire time we tried to enjoy our dinner. Another couple even came in, sat down, and after not being able to relax or hear each other over the game, left before ordering. I was shocked that the server didn't ask the couple to turn off the game as they were disrupting the entire dining area. Overall not our best night...

I recently had the pleasure of dining at Histeria contemporanea, and I must say, it was an unforgettable experience. From the moment I stepped inside, the ambiance was warm, inviting, and tastefully decorated, creating a perfect atmosphere for a relaxing meal. The staff were incredibly welcoming and attentive, ensuring that we felt comfortable and well taken care of throughout the evening.

As for the food, it was nothing short of exceptional. The menu offered a wide variety of delicious dishes, each crafted with the freshest ingredients. I opted for the sagne ncanulate, which was absolutely divine. The flavors were perfectly balanced, and the presentation was beautifully done – a true feast for the eyes and the palate!

Durante la nostra visita a Lecce abbiamo deciso di cenare qui. Non era la prima volta che venivamo a Lecce, e sappiamo che i ristoranti in centro sono per lo più turistici. La scorsa volta, in un altro ristorante, non era andata in granché, quindi non avevamo grosse aspettative. Ed invece è stata una piacevole sorpresa. Locale dotato anche di una piccola corte esterna sul dietro, molto carina, un po' calda, ci sono ventilatori ed aria condizionata, ma se ne sente poco il beneficio, almeno che non facciate come noi che ci siamo messi sotto il ventilatore. Consiglierei alla protetta proprietà una chiusura. All'interno del locale, stile moderno nelle mura classiche leccesi, complice forno della pizza e porte aperte, la climatizzazione non si sente. Abbiamo preso orecchiette al pomodoro con polpette, buonissime, e tortelli FICHISSIMI ripieni di canestrato pugliese e fichi con burrata e pomodori gialli e capocollo croccante, eccezionali. Per secondo una pizza con burrata, anche questa con impasto buono e materie prime buone. 2 caffè leccesi eseguiti ad opera d'arte, totale spesa 53 euro. Servizio fatto da ragazzi giovani, abbastanza veloce per gli standard della Puglia, ma comunque educato e sorridenti. L'anno prossimo con rivedremo...
