After walking around lovely Lecce we were quite hungry. We just came from the Piazza Del Duomo and spotted this little place. We didn't check reviews before, but liked the setting outside and gave it a try.

There's a good number of tables inside, some outside in front and as well on the side. In August you want to choose one in the shade, 'cause it really gets hot here in summer.

There weren't many guests that sunday. There weren't many visitors in town in general, so getting a nice table was easy. Service was very friendly and attentive and the lady manager (owner?) was very friendly as well and quite liked our dog very much, which was more than welcome here at the restaurant.

We ordered two local beers and the meat/cheese platter for two for 25 Euros, which did seem a bit pricey at first. But only at first.

Along with the platter came a basket full of bread and other nibbled. There were about five kinds of different meat cuts (Serrano ham, salami etc.) and around five different cuts of cheese (two of each!) Most cow milk cheese, some with Chili, some aged in wine and one goat cheese. Chutney was served with. Both the meat and cheese was high in quality. And easily the best meat/cheese platter we've had on our five week Italy Road Trip. And we did have lots of meat cuts and cheese. And this one beats them all! So much flavour in the meat, properly aged and really just the best cuts. The cheese wasn't a mass product at all and each piece was unique. We were really thrilled. After the beer we've ordered some white wine.

They serve other meals of course as well. We've seen some pasta dishes on other tables. Didn't look that exciting. But just speaking of our meal: A fantastic choice for a lunch for two. And in the end worth every buck. Highly...

Despite seeing some mixed or negative reviews beforehand, we had a very positive experience at this small, charming restaurant just steps from the Cathedral.

It was an extremely hot day, and we were looking for a light meal at an unusual hour — around 4:00 PM, which is well outside typical lunch times in Southern Italy. To our surprise, the staff welcomed us warmly, without hesitation. That kind of flexibility and hospitality is not always common in the south, and we really appreciated it.

Inside, the air conditioning was a blessing — cool, comfortable, and refreshing, offering a perfect escape from the oppressive heat outside.

We ordered a few light dishes: – a burrata caprese, fresh and creamy, – and a puccia (polpo) the local sandwich-like specialty — packed with flavor and incredibly satisfying.

The food was beautifully presented and full of local character. We also noticed they had an excellent wine selection, with high-quality bottles at very reasonable prices. Unfortunately, we were there too early to truly enjoy the full dinner experience, but we’ll definitely return for a proper evening meal next time.

The interior is cozy and traditional, with tasteful touches that reflect Lecce’s baroque style but in a relaxed, unpretentious setting.

Recommended if you’re looking for good local food, a cool and quiet spot in the city center, and friendly, flexible service — even at...

Omg … this place is way better than its rating!!! I was shocked it should definitely be high 4’s! I’ve owned a Wine Bar/Cafe and I have waitressed for years and these guys are fabulous! Loved my waitress :) - the owner was wonderful and gave us a lovely outside table (we did book earlier in the day but often they don’t save the outside tables - she did ! 🙏) We shared the Horse Ragu Puccia - so tender and tasty !!! My friend had the Rosemary flavoured fresh Tuna and loved it whilst I had the Octopus cooked in Pignata -sublime !! Bellissimo … and the Primitivo Red Wine very reasonably priced and wonderful :) If you are in Lecce I can well recommend this fabulous place to eat for everyone ….. Enjoy as much as we did !!!! Thank you to all at Re Mida … thanks of course to the Chef and kitchen very very much enjoyed...

Dziewczyny natomiast zamówiły parmigiana (z bakłażanem, mortadelą, kulkami mięsnymi i capocollo). Przystawka ok. Solidne 4! Sprawdźcie!
