Do not eat here! Cross contamination and completely misleading.
We ordered the tomato pasta and the spaghetti with clams. The tomato pasta was hard and the sauce was terrible so bland and watery. Within 3 minutes my partner found a bit of bolognese in his food.
My spaghetti with clams was so tasteless, the spaghetti was clearly not fresh, there was tons of clam shells in my dish but only about 7 actual bits of clam meat (as well as clearly being overcooked) . The only taste was garlic and oil, evident from my photo of a whole garlic I found in the spaghetti.
We had about 5 bites of our food each, we eventually had to call someone over and explain that we were very disappointed. They took the dishes away and after about 10 minutes they gave a half arsed apology and we were told that as the ‘manager’ was not here they could not discount it.
They only offered a free drink or dessert as an apology, we definitely weren’t accepting more food from this place. We denied the offer and were made to pay the bill in whole. 49 euros wasted to something we couldn’t even eat.
I can honestly say this is the worst food I have ever had while eating out. I would not recommend especially for vegetarians (unless you want hidden meat in your food) and people with allergens such as myself.
We came without checking the reviews don’t make the same...
Read moreThis place is the finest definition of a tourist trap you can find. They’ve got the perfect location and setting to entice passing tourists and for that reason they don’t need to care about negative reviews. I can honestly say this is not only the worst Italian food I’ve ever been served but literally the worst meal served in any restaurant anywhere in the world and I come from the UK so I’ve plenty of experience of terrible food. My girlfriend ordered a seafood risotto which was more like milky porridge. The minimum bits of seafood were os processed they literally tasted like bits of skin off an old man’s foot. I ordered grilled veg and fries. The grilled veg consisted of a few slices of courgette and something that looked like a tear of red pepper. Presumably an attempt to add colour. No seasoning. Just awful !!!! The fries tasted like the cheapest frozen fries you can get from Lidl. We were served hard bread and awful cheap olive oil. I was so angry , especially considering the extortionate price for this slop that I had to complain. The manager argued with me a little and then refunded the rip off tax charge and sparking water.
Seriously avoid this place. It’s a mockery of Italian food and should be shut down ! Just wish we’d checked the reviews...
Read moreWe came back from a hike and were extremely hungry. So we ran into the first restaurant we thought looked quite nice from the outside (without checking the reviews). We ordered a few drinks and bruschetta which were alright at best. But dinner was a nightmare. I ordered a cotoletta with fries which was served to me cold. And my husband ordered pasta carbonara which was cold and oily and looked nothing like an actual carbonara. It's a good time to mention that I was visiting as a tourist but have lived in Italy for 5 years in the past. So I am quite well aware what carbonara tastes like despite the waiter convincing me otherwise. However the waiter was quite nice and quickly brought us replacement food. This time the cotoletta was piping hot but the carbonara had nothing resembling carbonara but a cold oily mess. We took a bite and decided to walk out and didnt want to make a scene. We paid a full price of 75euros without actually eating dinner. Also mentioned it to the owner during payment, but he either didn't care or didn't understand us. Either way it was a horrible experience. (PS: the waiters themselves were quite nice to us,can't be said the same...
