Authentic Turkish food. As a person who has tried Turkish food in Turkey I attest that this place has real and high-quality Turkish food. The prices and portions are reasonable. We ordered Adana Kebab and Ali Nazik Kebab. For those who dont know these ones already I explain a bit. The Adana Kebab is a typical Turkish dish that consists of minced beaf mixed with onions (you wont see or even feel the onion) with lots of spices and then barbecued. The Adana was served with a bit of rice, raw onion, small salad and bread under the kebab that gets mixed with the kebab juice. Everything about it was good. The meat quality, the taste and the saltiness.
The Ali Nazik was even more wonderful. It is basically the fillet of the beaf (which is very tender and juicy) placed on top of yogurt mixed with eggplants and spices. The yogurt turns the kebab even more tender.
For the appetiser, they offered us-free of charge- a mix of mini-dishes of traditional Turkish appetisers as seen in the photo.
For deserts they have traditional Turkish sweets. For those who are not familiar Id recommend Sutlac which is a cold mix of rice and milk. A bit like a pudding but much more different and delicious. You could also get Knufe that is a very sweet traditional Turkish sweet that you have to take with Turkish tea.
The personal were very friendly and asked us if everything was good. I would recommend a more aesthetically pleasing menu. It seriously needs a redesign.
All in all I highly recommend this place and hope they keep up the good work and...
Read moreI am from Turkey(have been living there for 22 years) so I believe I have a decent idea on Turkish cusine. Therefore please read this review accordingly.
--Food-- -Main Food- I had beyti kebab for 18€. The kebab inside was great, better than most plalces in Turkey. It was obviously not the best I have eaten as kebab is local to Turkey and more easily prepared there. However the kebab was still very impressive, I believe it to be thanks to the quality of the meat and its proportinate spicing, so congrats to the chef. He knows what he is doing very well. Only one thing about beyti kebab, normally beyti kebap slices are covered by lavash, but his interperation was very good and exciting to eat because it was different. The chef wrapped the kebab with pide dough, hence the kebab was covered with buttery crisp pide, and I loved it. I loved the crunch of the pide bread so this beyti kebab interpretation is a very successful one and you should definitely try it.
-Dessert- Künefe was amazingly delicious as well. I think it is the 2nd best künefe I have ever eaten(other one was in Samsun/Turkey) . The künefe was hot and the cheese inside was stretching very nicely. A very delicious cheese was used. Also the sherbet(sugary hot liquid to make desserts sweet, but too much of it can make you dizzy or make you lose your appettite) was not exaggarated and that made the künefe perfect.
--Note-- They also bring properly prepared yummy appetizers that goes along with dishes that include...
