I went here on Saturday with my father and we ended up leaving cause no one took our order so we went back on Monday and ordered mix fried seafood and lasagne. The food came 5 minutes (max) after we ordered so it was obviously premade and microwaved, fried food should be fried on order. The lasagne was tasteless and when we asked for salt and pepper it took 15 minutes to get. The Coca Cola was hot. Been in Italy maybe 10 times and this is the first time I've been really disappointed with the food in this country. Maybe i don't know what livornese food should taste like but as a norwegian I've had my fair share of seafood in my life and this quality would never be served in Norway.
I went back to get my bag, that i forgot and was shouted at by all the employees and told i would be sued for writing this review so no wonder they have a good score when you threaten people that don't like your food and attitude. They didn't want to give me back my bag untill they had had shouted for 5 minutes in Italian even tho I said i don't understand what your saying. This is my honest opinion of the place and i have no problem defending my review in english. Craziest restaurant...
Read moreThis was the most fantastic food experience we have had in Italy - or anywhere. The menu was unique and incredibly interesting. I don’t speak Italian so we did a little guessing and google translate and ended up with mussels in an amazing chickpea dip, octopus lasagna, clam spaghetti, shrimp ravioli with scallop cream sauce and tuna with an amazing aioli - I am not doing the description justice, it was so much more than that. The chefs are husband and wife and they came out to speak with us and offer tips on the order to eat and share the love they pour into their food. The setting is right in the heart of downtown pomerance. We saw many locals coming and going and getting takeout and having a drink with their families, clearly a well known and loved spot. The only word of caution is to know that it is really a seafood restaurant - so be prepared to eat seafood. You are in Italy and why wouldn’t you try these fantastic dishes, though? It was a magical night, one of our favorite...
Read moreWriting in English for the curious tourist. Fried fingerfood place very close to the central marketplace. You can park the car in Via Grande.
Pro: Fried fish is good, the picture shows how I enjoyed it. People are kind and friendly.
Con: It opens at 10:30 but they start to fry around 12. So do not try to get fried fish before Noon. I could not sit on the outside tables as there is service cost and food is more expensive. It was unclear, fine, but please put a sign outside as people think it is a fingerfood store, not a restaurant :)
Edit: thanks for the reply, I just wanted to add more information to what found in Internet (Google maps). I know the rules for the restaurant, but the snapshot of your web site attached in the picture below says that it is a "negozio" not "ristorante", this is what...
