Better than any “gourmet” restaurant we have tried. We had a very emotional moment as the taste was exactly how our Italian grandmother/great grandmother used to cook it. The sauces were cooked to perfection and complimented the pasta even more. So we went to Livorno and I have been in here a few times but i never went to mercato centrale and inside you will find this family owned restaurant of humble origins but serve one of the best pastas ive ever had. King of pasta not only serve food recognized by the citizens of Livorno but also the tourists as well and they even served some famous personalities like pope francis, queen Elisabeth, prince albert of monaco and barack obama. This restaurant may look unassuming at first, as it is located right inside the market hall of Livorno – but what a gem! We were warmly welcomed and received excellent service throughout our visit.
