This family-run trattoria, led by Chef Davide and his wonderful family, is truly worth a visit. From the very first moment, the welcome is warm and genuine, and even the seating suggestions are thoughtfully made to ensure a pleasant and comfortable stay.

We were a party of five, including a toddler, and were delighted to find plenty of choices for everyone even though three of us are vegetarians. Despite the traditional and authentic roots of the menu, there were excellent options for us, alongside fantastic meat-based dishes for our parents, who couldn’t have been happier. It’s clear that the ingredients are selected with great care, focusing on quality, and the dishes are prepared in a way that respects and enhances the natural flavors of each component.

What impressed me most is that, unlike many trattorias where the food can sometimes feel overly rich or heavy, Chef Davide strikes the perfect balance. The menu is simple yet refined, tasty without being overwhelming, and prepared with just the right touch of richness ,never excessive. Complimenti to the chef for achieving this harmony.

The restaurant itself is spotless, with great attention to cleanliness throughout, including the bathrooms, which are immaculate. The service is another highlight: attentive and considerate, anticipating your needs almost before you realise them, yet never intrusive.

If you’re in Locorotondo and looking for an authentic local experience that carries the heritage of true grandmother-style cooking, this is absolutely the place to go. A heartfelt “bravi” to Chef Davide and his family and my best wishes for their continued...

I have to start by saying my husband and I, while from Australia, have an Italian background. So, flavours which remind us of our childhood, resonate. This place in Locorotondo was a welcome, unexpected find. Having tried a couple of places with fussier, almost try hard food this trattoria gave us a sigh of relief. My advice is to go local. Share the fave e chicory simply delicious with bread. The gnocchi with wild boar ragout, the pork cheek and the tripe - all fantastic. Service was warm and friendly and wine selection very good. Prices very reasonable and none of this two seatings rubbish like we experience back home. You can settle in for a few hours. We ate here three nights in a row. And lots of childhood memories aroused by...

You will eat authentic Italian food, but at a very high cost. My girlfriend is Italian and when we spoke with their parents how much it costed us to eat they could not believe it (her mom prepares better dishes with few euros). She had mashed beans with veggies for 18 euros! My brother and her gf ate a very good yet simple pasta, 12 euros (just tomato, mind you). The worst part is paying the service. This thing they call "coperto" here on Italy which is basically a mandatory tip for the owner. 3 euros per person. So just by sitting down we spent 12 euros. Food was good but I do not recommend it just for the price.

They will trick you with a sensation of tradition and good old days sentiment that is completely crushed once the...

Wonderful! Perfect for our last evening in Puglia, the menu has a selection of typical dishes from Puglia (or Locorotondo: le braciole con le polpette di pane!!!), but the very kind and professional waiter also suggested other dishes (the menu had pork cheeks but we were offered cheek of veal, € 22 instead of € 16 but worth every penny, so tender you didn't even need a knife, delicious!!!). Cosy atmosphere and clearly a team who knows and enjoys their craft, both in the restaurant and in the kitchen, we hope to be back! (want to taste those spaghetti all'assassina!). Everything we had was delicious, from start to finish, the glasses of primitivo included, pictures below, I cannot be held accountable for mouth watering.
