Can we give it 10 stars?! Hands down the best gelato we’ve had in Italy. Spent a lovely afternoon wandering around Lucca after visiting Pisa in the morning and decided to treat ourselves to gelato before saying goodbye to the town. We actually stopped at another place first and after sampling their gelato and not being impressed we decided to continue and look for somewhere else. Sure glad we did! After reading the reviews we decided to try Ele. Incredible! One son had the watermelon granite (slushy and refreshing) and the other had peach gelato - tasted like the peaches were pealed and the gelato made right in front of us (which is pretty much is it is so fresh!). I had espresso gelato - probably the best espresso gelato I’ve ever had (so good I even bought a bag of the espresso beans she uses to make the gelato). Everything is made in house using fresh fruit and ingredients and you can taste the difference. My only “complaint” is that the owner gave us her best flavor hazelnut to try after we finished. To say it was amazing would be a disservice - it was otherworldly! We actually debated going back after we left just to order a scoop of the hazelnut. We give Ele the highest recommendation and suggest you try it while in Lucca - you won’t be...

When it comes to cooling down on a warm day in Lucca, Ele Gelati e Granite is an absolute must. Tucked away like a hidden treasure just off the bustling streets, this gelateria offers some of the best artisanal gelato and granita you’ll find in Tuscany.
The gelato? Silky, rich, and made with love. Every flavor bursts with authenticity from the deep, nutty pistachio to the fresh, fragrant strawberry, and the impossibly smooth dark chocolate. They use real ingredients, no shortcuts, and you can taste the difference in every spoonful.
But don’t overlook the granita a refreshing Sicilian-style frozen treat that’s light, icy, and packed with flavor. The lemon granita is a standout: tart, bright, and the perfect palate cleanser. Or try the coffee granita for a delightful pick-me-up on a hot afternoon.
The staff are kind, patient, and clearly passionate about their craft. They’ll happily offer samples and help you find the flavor combo of your dreams. Prices are reasonable, portions are generous, and the whole experience is one of pure joy.
Whether you’re after a late-night treat, a mid-day cool down, or just the best gelato in town Ele Gelati e Granite will exceed your...
Read moreWe came back twice yesterday. Was really warm day so we craved for something refreshing, but also hate artificial flavour gelato. This place was perfect as the flavour and texture really indicates natural flavouring and artisan gelato. The lemon basil was amazing combination, and mango tasted like how you blend a fresh mango out and made it into ice cream. Pistachio was also amazing. We love this place so much we came back second time for granite, which did not disappoint. If you want refreshing and real fruity flavour this is the place to be. The only thing is indeed the scoop size is a bit smaller than other place I had, but i didnt mind that so much bc good...
