I only visited the garden, but it was worth it. However, I think that the tickets could be cheaper, as the garden isn't very big. The costs for a visit to the garden costs 4.50 per adult. Kids under 18 seem to be free of costs, as my little brothers didn't require any ticket costs. They are 11 and 15. I think that the garden is more special than the actual palazzo that we also checked in the little brochure we got when we went in. The costs to only visit the palazzo are just as much. Combined, the costs are a little higher. The garden looked very well taken care of, and it also has some bamboo trees in it which is cool. The statues look very nice and you can see one of the towers from within the garden. You can also see a little piece of the walls of Lucca, and from the walls yo u can probably also check out the garden a bit. The garden has enough paths to walk on and a lot of flowers, and there are enough benches to sit down or you can sit down in one of the chairs. We sat down for half an hour which was very relaxing and the place is cool enough in the summer when you sit down in the shadows. I would recommend the garden, but I don't really know if the palazzo is...
Read moreWe stayed for 9 nights in a room at Palazzo Pfanner, a property advertised for its beautiful garden and stunning views. Although the host mentioned some construction in the garden when we checked in at night, we only realized the extent of it the next morning—there was no garden at all. Some mornings, we were even woken up by construction noise as early as 8:00 AM. Later, we learned that this renovation had been ongoing for at least 4 months, meaning we booked based on misleading photos. While the host, Dario, was responsive, I cannot give a good rating due to these issues. The relentless mosquitoes, which made every night unbearable despite our efforts, also ruined...
Read morePalazzo Pfanner is well worth a visit. The garden is beautiful and well-maintained, and the architecture of the building is impressive. The museum section, however, is somewhat limited (as of April 2025—additional areas may open later).
Entrance to the garden costs €7, with an additional €2 for the museum. Restrooms are located in the garden area. A thoughtful touch is the presence of QR codes providing information about many of the flowers, which adds value for those interested in botanical details.
I spent around 45 minutes for the garden, 10 more...
