First things first, if you really want to eat here, get a reservation. Secondly, take a look at the people seated around you. I did neither of those first two steps. They kindly squeezed us in, and after ordering I realized the clientele that was occupying their seats. Mainly British tourists (no hate to the UK, but let’s be real here), and I got the vibe of the Italian version of an artisanal burger bar. Actually, on the artisanal burger bar subject, it checked all the boxes ✅spunky decor and atmosphere (very cute) ✅local artisanal sodas (best part) ✅a wait so long you can’t help but notice when the people who came after you (also with no reservation) were served before you ✅food that is presented well, but is mediocre at best (very sad about that) ✅way overpriced for the quality (I have been SEARCHING high and low for some pasta in this town. This is Italy! Land of pasta! The fact we are in Italy is why I’m leaving the review I am, because you cannot come here with the thought you will have a good Italian pasta) Consensus: looks cute, not worth it. Made me depressed after spending...
Read moreWe arrived around 7:55pm and although they were fully booked, they managed to find us a table at 8:45pm. The pasta was perfectly cooked and actually amongst the best we have had in Italy. We had no idea it was vegetarian but it actually didn't matter at all. We ordered some recommendations from the blackboard: Spaghetti Carbonara with porcini mushrooms was magnificent & the porcini mushrooms were melt-in-your-mouth. Spinach & ricotta ravioli in a nut sauce was also wonderful, the nutty sauce being a perfect combination with the fresh ricotta and spinach filling, encased in light fresh pasta parcels. The Apple cheesecake reminded us of the flavours of apple strudel which was delicious. They happened to have my favourite grape in their house wine! Sangiovese wine, which was EUR14 for a litre & very drinkable! The water & bread was free & Everything was reasonably priced. Service was friendly & would definitely love to come...
Read moreYesterday we at at In Pasta but I forgot my phone so I couldn’t take pictures :( It was so good! And so community driven I feel. I didn’t ask or look it up but it felt like everyone working there were friends that got together to create something they believe it. And also my guess is that everything was vegetarian. If both these are true than I am fully impressed by how this was communicated simply by atmosphere. It was so homey.
The food was excellent. Let me just describe my dish. I had organic pasta with burrata, truffle and mushrooms. Whaaaat?? When he explained to me what it was I was like “where has this pasta been all my life??”
My partner picked a ravioli and the sauce was olive oil based, and oh my god, the olive oil alone. You could taste its truth.
I highly recommend and I really wish I was able to take photos.
Also they have tiramisu in a glass which was like 70% mascarpone hahaha
Their local ginger beer was...
