This place is the worst experience we had in all Italy. We are doing a reportage that features restaurants around the country, we had four guests with us from other parts of Italy visiting and we have been recommended to visit Osteria Dal Manzo. As we get there an older man greets us (it came up to be the owner). They seat us outside and he’s attitude immediately becomes condescending and arrogant, even when asking the most simple question he made us feel stupid: i.e: one of our guest was pregnant and asked if the “diaframma” meat could be cooked through, the old man answered with an arrogant tone that the meat comes the way it is without showing any sign of kindness. The food was good but the atmosphere was ruined by this old owner who seemed to be bothered by clients and preferred reserving his smiles to the table of his friends sitting next to us. The best part has yet to come. All plates start to arrive but one of our guests meal didn’t come, after 10 minutes waiting for his meal the guest asked and received another arrogant condescending response like he was the problem and not even an apology. HE WAITED 30 minutes for his meal and he ate when everybody else at the table was already done. The restaurant owner didn’t even offer an apology and made us all feel like we were in the wrong for even asking for his meal to be in time. The experience was terrible. The owner chose to be rude, negligent, pissed and ruined our dinner at his restaurant for which we were paying for. When we go inside to pay we ask please to split the check in couples so we each could pay their portion, the old man COMPLETELY LOST IT. I have never seen someone being abusive with clients. It was so sickening that it took me 2 years to write this review. It was September 2022. He said we were a burden, that he was tired and we were bothering him, he started slamming things on his desk, he made us feel so uncomfortable that we wanted to throw up. He didn’t even took off our guests meal or offered him an apology or discount but he continued fighting him about it. We all left shaken and mind blown. The old man, if he’s so tired and unhappy of serving clients maybe should shut down or retire instead of acting like a privileged arrogant old man. WORST EXPERIENCE EVER AT A RESTAURANT. I hope this review can aware many others from not supporting this nonsense while out there there are many restaurants and business owners that are happy to serve you and give you the experience you...

The worst mixed experience ever. They are called "Osteria dal Manzo" and they have an interesting variety of meat dishes (Bisteca, diafragma slices, brain&core meatballs... definitely original). Short menu, but enough. Wine offer diverse and correct. Now the interesting part: after ordering and with the starters on the table, the main course took 1 complete hour to come AND after having served first a table of 6, who arrived and started later, having two of them the same ordering as ours. Only then (tired to wait without any attention offered during the complete hour) and having adivised of our paying (wine & starters) and leaving if the order was not in our table in the next 5 minutes; the manager arrived with both dishes asking whether there was any problem. So far, at the moment of the claim (5 min before) he was enjoying his dinner inside with company. The only thing he articulated to respond to our disapointment was "it takes whatever it takes" (forgetting the same and quicker service in the table of 6), giving the back and coming back inside without any attention or simple attempt of excuse (a missed order can always happen; why not to simply recognize and apologize? and keep going with the best service as possible). We had to call for his attention, and still his attitude remained.

To note, fact: for a place called "Osteria dal Manzo" with a diversity of meat dishes, a better control of how long (number of days) the meat in camera is would be appreciated: they had to ask twice (first disapointment), and once clarified, it was not more than 14 days (second...

Tasteless is the best word I could use to describe the Truffle and Egg appetizer my husband and I both ordered. It was a fried egg topped with a few flecks of truffles that had absolutely no smell and therefore no flavor. We spoke with the waitress and she said they are black truffles, not white truffles. That’s a ridiculous statement. Black truffles have a beautiful perfume too. We hardly saw her after that. The man whom I assume was the owner/manager also made himself scarce once we informed the waitress about the tasteless truffles. When it came time to check out we went to the cashier and said the appetizer was completely tasteless. She too tried to pass it off as black versus white truffle. We said we know what a truffle should taste like. She went to speak with the owner/manager, came back and admitted that 1) other customers complained of this too. 2) the truffles they got this week are “dead” and have no flavor. I replied that they shouldn’t be serving them to customers. Better no truffle than “dead” truffle. She begrudgingly removed one of the Truffle and Egg appetizers from the bill. So we ended up paying 13 euros for 2 plain fried eggs. Very disappointing. I’m embarrassed for them- knowingly serving bad food to customers, still charging them and never apologizing. They should have removed both appetizers and the manager should...

We waited a long time to try this restaurant and it didn't live up to expectations. We ordered the scallop and steak florentine; they told us it was plenty of food but we left hungry. The scallop appetizer was small and uninspired. The steak was tasty and fresh. The wine from Montecarlo was good. The sides weren't great; the salad had no sauce and was just hard bits of the lettuce, and the stir-fried veggies were unimpressive. (They also brought us the salad when we didn't order it.) The service was subpar; they didn't seem to want to serve us and we waited over an hour for the food.

outstanding food, good vegetarian options, excellent curated wine list. visited May 2025. my beef diaphragm was excellent; marinated for hours, it was cooked perfectly and nicely seasoned. the pasta dishes were freshly made and also high quality. our table had a view of "the pass" and it was nice to watch the chef inspect the meals prior to departing the kitchen, lots of attention to detail. the staff are multi-lingual with at least italian, english and german spoken very well; reservations are highly suggested. Recommend.

We found this little gem on Google Maps. The dishes were tasty, we had tuna, the octopus, tiramisu and basil panna cotta. The octopus was crispy on the outside and tender on the inside. The tuna was seared on point. Our favorites were tuna and tiramisu. The tiramisu has tiny cholocate pieces inside and the panna cotta was creamy and refreshing. Prices were very reasonable and the service was very friendly.
