Piccola Osteria Civico 6 — Restaurant in Lucca

I can't think for the life of me how this below-average tourist trap got a 4.6 rating -- which is what it was when I sat down an hour and a half ago. I'm still here, having finished the second most dull lunch I've had in the week I've been in Lucca. (Why are there so many truly bad restaurants in this town? The more tourists, the higher the amount of people willing to take their money for nothing.) I can't trust this rating system anymore. It's okay. If there isn't seating across the piazza, at Santa Zita, this is a less interesting substitute. The service was friendly and fast. The crostine were bland; they had canned pears and walnuts straight out of a bag (not candied, not toasted, not salted). Nice place to stop for lunch. Food is slightly different from all the other restaurants which is nice (brown granary bread in the basket). Got a caprese salad, described as cheese, tomato and basil. 1 leaf of basil is a garnish, not an ingredient. We were nearly finished eating and the waitress came and asked us if we were done, I said I was still eating and had bread in my hand but she cleared away the plates anyway.
