Overrated place with rude owner. The homemade bread for the panini is the only positive, along with a good location if youāre looking for a quick snack on the way to the railway station, but Iām sure there are others from which you can choose from. Otherwise, if you still wanna go there, prepare to embrace huge tantrums from the owner over a paper bag in case you order āto goā, but then decide to stay indoor and eat or just take the leftovers with you (kids often do that - we had 2 with us). The owner is a shame for the local industry, as he despises clients asking for paper bags (first he refuses the 1EUR payment, he claims the bag is for free, however he prefers to continue screaming and cursing that because of tourists he is left without paper bags?!?). All this in front of the kids, plus he kept arguing about how unfair life is, and how heās working and not on vacation (?!?) - it was 5 PM, place was not even crowded. For the sake of the business (as nobody from Lucca is buying from there) I hope he sticks to just baking bread and has less to do with...

Sandwich was wonderful (43. Chicken cutlet with zucchini and lettuce), but man, the guy behind the counter was an absolute prick. Muttering under his breath about the group before me, terrible attitude down to his posture and just extremely unwelcoming. His hat barely fit, so maybe itās squeezing his head too tight?
That 5% extra fee charged if you order take out seems like a challenge. āCan you handle the insane negative energy this guy puts out?ā (The completely empty shop proved a definitive no)
The lady was nice and almost made me feel bad sheās gotta be with that guy all day.
So great sandwiches, good ingredients, quick service, but get in and get out with as little interaction with that guy...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreA nice place to get panini with various filling options (more than 50!!) The choice may seem a bit overwhelming, so it may take a while to pick the best option. I went with 44 and that was very tasty - it was warmed up and the sliced meat, truffle sauce and gorgonzola blended excellently well together. Another time I picked 42, but that did not beat the first one - it was a bit too greasy for my liking. So 44 is my...
