Ristorante Pizzeria Garden — Restaurant in Malcesine

Walked in and the lady said that there was a limited menu. She handed me a menu for me to look over to decide if I was still interested. After looking at the menu and deciding it wouldn’t work for us because of my toddler, I politely declined. The lady got angry, snatched the menu and tossed it on a shelf behind her while saying something “culo.” I speak Spanish so I knew that was something to the effect of *sshole. So of course I confronted her, but naturally with people like her, they automatically back down when confronted. Despicable and vile behavior because I chose not to eat there because of my TODDLER!

Edit to add: I live in Italy. I understand that the menu changes based on the hours. Me politely declining and handing you back the menu was no reason for the owner to throw a menu and cuss me out. There was no misunderstanding. I was not upset in the least bit. The problem arises when you got angry at me for declining to eat at your restaurant and cussed me out. Good food and special atmosphere My family and I had lunch in a beautiful restaurant and pizzeria called Garden in Malcesine. It is by the lake and we went there because we were on holiday in a village by and we decided to go to Malcesine by bike to visit it. The restaurant’s location was fantastic. The special thing was the beautiful terrace, where we could eat suspended over the water with a spectacular view. These things made the atmosphere really great. The food was good, we ate pizza and it was delicious. Then we ordered dessert too, a tasty ice cream. Although the restaurant was quite busy, we didn't have to wait long to get our meals and waiters were efficient and professional. The bill was really reasonable for the service and location, so we were satisfied. Good location. Ok food. Bad service. We were two people and order a pizza. They did not even bother to give us two plates.

My reply to their reply: You knew that we were two people. All we were expecting was One extra plate. If you cannot afford to provide one extra plate then you should not operate lake side restaurant. One star is is not for location or food. Its for service.
