what a lovely little gem to have found during our stay in menaggio!!

we stumbled upon this bar and took it as a great sign that it seemed to be filled with locals to the town. the beer and wine was great, and the pizza was just what we needed after a long day of travelling to get to menaggio.

the only issue we had was a slight language barrier with our waitress, who maybe wasn’t used to seeing many tourists pop up in her bar, but we didn’t fault her for it at all - instead ourselves for not learning more italian!!

No stars at all! Unfortunately this bar gives Menaggio and Italy a bad name. I have done much travelling in my life and also 2 weeks in Italy this is the worst customer service ever. The male staff member was rude, unfriendly and asked the female staff member to stop pouring my glass of wine before a standard glass. I questioned this initially good naturedly and got rude treatment. I was with my children and this was so uncalled for. No attempt to rectify even when I requested a top up. Popped in here for lunch during our day trip to Menaggio. I ordered the cacio e pepe spaghetti and my friend ordered the pesto. My dish was incredibly saucy - like drowning in sauce which was a bit odd as cacio e pepe is normally just oil / Parmesan / pepper so not sure why it was so wet!
