My mom and I are in Milan just to visit for 3 days and I chose this restaurant because I saw all the good reviews online so I decided to give it a try. I’m really disappointed, they were nice and still got us a table even though we didn’t make a reservation, but everything went downward from that on. First, they were really unpleasant about the fact that my mom asked them if they had any menu with pictures because she doesn’t understand Italian nor English. Second, the dishes took ages to come and some even never got to our table. Also the presentation for the dishes were different for us, when you look at other people’s picture or even the table right next to us.. one of the server didn’t even bother to put the dish on our table, he just handed it over to me like that.. when they are extra careful when putting the dishes on other table. Third, they took ages to get our order but that’s not it, one of the server comes around the closing time, saying it’s our last chance to order, so I said ok, looked at the menu, then looked back at him, he was already gone.. tried to get someone to take our order and they said “no it’s already too late”.. you didn’t even let me talk.. In conclusion, our last meal in Milan could have been...
Read moreThe most marvelous meal I had in Italy, hands down. Although I had my fair share of delicious meals in Italy, this restaurant stood out to me the most. The best service, amazing presentation of their food (as shown in the photos), and the quality of the sushi set apart Ayu from others.
It was All you can eat (AYCE) and each round, you can order up to 21 dishes. My friends and I paid about 40 euros/person (drinks included). My favorite was the sashimi selection (which is shown in the video) and the most interesting was the wagyu nigiri — I’ve never had anything like it! The nigiri selection was also beautifully crafted and was very interesting. I enjoyed it thoroughly.
To end the night off, the staff offered us a complimentary glass of a plum dessert wine that was the perfect drink to end off the night. We stayed after closing and we apologized for imposing, but they were incredibly friendly and understanding as we were running late from our travels. Thank you AYU staff!!!...

The ambiance of AYU Sushi it was inviting and cozy, with a modern yet traditional aesthetic that created a relaxed and comfortable atmosphere. The staff greeted me with warm smiles and impeccable service, especially Rikki one of the coolest waiters of the restaurant. Talking about the sushi per se, every piece that arrived at my table was a work of art, beautifully presented and bursting with freshness. The attentive staff was more than happy to suggest pairings, enhancing the overall dining experience. To sum it up, it is the best culinary haven for sushi enthusiasts and food lovers alike that I have...
