The machine only dispensed water instead for coffe. (Equipment or operator error? Either way you are the professional and should have caught it ) This is not the worst of it. When we brought it up to the barista, she dismissed it with bad attitude stating that “this is the way I make cappuccino all the time” (if that is so she may need some serious training in attitude and who to) Milan one of the most beautiful cosmopolitan city and paradise of the espresso, food and many other fine and high qualities and standards, too bad we encounter and at times come across an entitled condescending barista with very bad customer facing manners. Never to be found else where in the world in my 30 plus years of traveling. Very sad for the reputation of the Italian hospitality business and possibly crippling even for a successful business.

The middle aged Male member of staff who was behind the till was so disgustingly rude to my fiancee I was mere moments away from blowing a gasket and subjecting him to a barrage of uncomplimentary observations. As it was the first morning of our holiday I thought better of it. There was a very friendly waiter who said "follow me please I shall serve you personally" he was great. The whole situation did put a dampener on the day so please dont risk it happening to you. No word of a lie we had to grab a quick drink in the city centre so we popped in to the local MacDonalds and the service, price, quality of food and location was far superior.
