La Porta Rossa Milano — Restaurant in Milan

I went two times to this restaurant because it is near to the clinic where I have been doing an internship as a medical doctor. First, I went with family who came from Portugal to visit me and we were told there was no pizza in the menu when I have seen pictures of pizza in tripadvisor. Also, my family had a train to catch and we waited for pasta to be served for more than a hour. The other time I went to the restaurant by myself in my pause for lunch and I was told I could not sit inside because it was full (but there was only one man eating inside.. so I still dont understand how it was full). I sat outside for about 10-15 min and no one came to ask me what I wanted to eat, even though the waitress was going and talking to other clients (all italians) on the other tables, basically ignoring me. This time they gave me a menu which in fact had pizza! So they lied the other time. Really bad service and in the second time I got fed up, left and went to eat somewhere else. Serves food from Puglia region... i did not try the typical orrechiette but my coworker who has been here countless times raves about it. I had the spaghetti + meatballs and while it was satisfying and a VERY generous portion, I was not blown away. Perhaps I did not order the best thing on the menu though and I am willing to give this place another chance. The tiramisu had great flavor but they did not have enough of the cake part.... most of it was cream, which was delicious, but not well proportioned. Complimentary focaccia which was fresh AF and so warm and crispy. I wanted moreeeeee! I had a bite of my friend's carbonara and it was tasty.

This place gets packed by 1pm so get here at 1230 if you want to get a table without waiting!

Adorable "old school" decor with extremely friendly waiters... there is also a cute dog named Luna that sits by the cash register and is just waiting for you...

La prima esperienza ieri sera in questo locale , molto bello e si ha le sensazione di stare in un classico locale della puglia , personale gentilissimo e professionale attento alle esigenza della clientela e molto simpatico . La location non era nnt male , all' interno avete la possibilità di trovare tavoli più centrali o come noi avete la possibilità di stare in un angolino appartati il che vi garantisce di essere più intimi se siete in dolce compagnia . La sala è piena di quadri e foto storiche riguardanti la Puglia, personaggi famosi che hanno visitato il locale e onoreficenze contornate da un rosso sullo sfondo che rende l'ambiente caldo e accogliente . Per quanto riguarda la cucina ovviamente siamo ad un livello veramente buono , dico ovviamente perché si vede che ci mettono passione . Noi abbiamo preso delle bruschette con cime di rapa stracciatella e pomodorini secchi e un altra stracciatella e acciughe , per continuare due primi piatti quali paccheri al tonno pesto di pistacchio e pomodorino giallo e poi un piatto di troccoli zafferano e salsiccia e stracciatella . Meravigliosi come piatti e fatto con estrema cura complimenti allo chef davvero una goduria per le papille gustative . A seguire 2 dolci quali il classico pasticciotto leccese , oltremodo fuori misura ma buonissimo e una torta pere e cioccolato che ahimè non mi ha entusiasmato più di tanto . Che dire il locale tutto sommato ci è piaciuto il cibo ottima ma se posso permettermi il prezzo era un po' fuori le righe . Indubbiamente la zona può influenzare il prezzo ma pagare 82 euro 2 bruschette 2 primi piatti 2 calici di vino rosso e 2 dolci per me è esagerato ! Con questo nn scredito il ristorante ma fossi in voi con la qualità che avete terrei un po' più basso il prezzo dei primi piatti . E degli antipasti perché ok mangiare bene ma con i tempi che corrono bisogna anche venirsi in contro .
