So rude. We queued for 15 minutes, we have no problem with this. The woman at the door was nice and clear when we said we can share a table for 3 people. When it was our turn she said ok can sit there pointing at the table. Due to the layout of the cafe it was natural for the flow to go to the counter of pastries first and we ordered. After paying we sat down where a gentleman ran over to us, interrupted us shouting that we cannot sit here because we ordered takeaway. I had explained we were only seemingly following the direction of the woman at the door and when I looked at her to support what we understood she also shouted at us! It was so unbelievable, it was an honest mistake and we offered to pay the service charge as the reasoning we could not sit is because we didn’t pay for a service fee (okay we understand) but the whole altercation was so unsavoury that the two staff couldn’t communicate effectively, defending themselves unprofessionally and also disrupting the guests next to us. We are also in hospitality and are extremely understanding in many scenarios but this was the strangest and off putting experience in a while so we stood up and left. Maybe the pastries are nice but don’t go here for any sort of hospitality or the coffee because it’s as bad as the service and ruined our last morning in Milan. This is the second time we came this week and both times were a...
Read moreI came because I thought there was a good atmosphere and good food and came out really humiliated and disappointed! I saw on the menu "A ricotta cheese briosch" (2.2€) and ordered it + coffee Americano (3€)+ fruits (5€) ; It wasn't a briosch, it was a weird cold & dry croissant They put yellow cheese inside instead of a ricotta. I try to eat it but it wasnt edible, so i took it to the reception and asked them why this is the cheese that i got. The cashier (i think she was also the manager) told me that the menu is old and it is what it is. I begged to at least warm it a little bit and she refused. I came back to my table, finished the americano and fruits and took the whole "briosch" dish back to ask for check. She told me to pay 16.6 (16?!?!?!?! For what? Anyone can do the math...) and i told her that i didnt ate the croissant so at least take it off the price and she started to scream on me and refused. I tried for 10 minutes to explain her that im not gonna pay for something i didnt eat !!! Eventually she removed that poor 2.2€, But tell me something, in the final invoice i got a charge of 6€ under the name "Prodotto" what for??? A really big big big DISrecommendation. Dont go there and pay for this...
Read moreTerrible service! I am really disappointed by the terrible service of the waitress. An italian waitress, tall with brown hair (as in pic). I thought that I didn’t understand Italian (given that I am Asian) and she said negative comments about me in Italian to her colleagues thinking that I couldn’t understand. However, I understand Italian well and I told her that. She was shocked and apologised. However, this event is unforgivable and she is very racist and unprofessional. I will never come back again and I do not recommend to anyone!
The food is also overpriced for the quality and service that you get. No one deserves to go to a place and spend money, while having waitresses on your back saying negative things about you in a foreign language just because you are a foreigner (and they think you don’t understand)!
To reply to the owner: this event has happened. Indeed after I confronted her in Italian, she said “Oh I didnt know you understood Italian”. You personally were not there, but it doesnt mean that because you didnt see it happen, so it never happened lool. Also, whether she is still working there or not, it doesnt change the fact that this racist episode happened at your cafe by one of your employees...
