Bar Castello — Restaurant in Milan

I would give this -100000/10 if I could, we also made the mistake of not reading the reviews but honestly this place deserves a 1 star, not even 2.6. The servers were so rude, after we ordered they told us the crepes weren’t available but the pancakes were. We ordered the pancakes, orange juice and an ice coffee. 20 minutes later they came back to just tell us that there are no pancakes, we opted to just get our drinks and leave. They brought out the orange juice right away but the ice coffee didn’t come. We finished the orange juice and got up and finally then did they bring over the ice coffee. Nothing can justify why in any world 1 orange juice is €6 each and ice coffee is €5. If you want to say it’s cause you’re paying for the service. THERE WAS NO SERVICE. They were simply rude and disrespectful and didn’t even remove the pancakes from our bill that we never got. It took the man another few minutes to get someone else to remove it from the bill. Unfortunately, my visit to Restaurant Castello was highly disappointing. Right from the moment I walked in, I noticed that the ambiance was not particularly inviting. The plates were unattractively arranged, and the food presentation was incredibly poor. Not only were the dishes visually unappealing, but they also lacked flavor. The spices seemed to miss the mark, and the preparation left much to be desired.

As for the service, the staff was extremely unfriendly. There was no smile, no attentiveness, and a lack of willingness to cater to the needs of the guests. Our table was ignored for a long time, and it was difficult to get their attention.

Overall, I cannot recommend Restaurant Castello due to the unappealing plate arrangements, the poor taste of the food, and the unfriendly staff. There are certainly better options in the area that offer a more enjoyable...

Situated in a tourist hot-spot Bar Castello has the opportunity to be amazing but instead settles for underwhelming at best. The food offering, particularly the sandwiches and sweet offerings are, in fairness good, all be it overpriced. Unfortunately, what lets the venue down are brisk wait staff who are very quick to dump you at a table and appear busy until you flag them down to order. I’ve given the venue a few chances and have found that smiles and a welcoming manner have been rare across all occasions. The other significant shortfall of the venue is the rundown and unclean state of the toilets. A disappointment and surprise against the rest of the venue which looks pretty elegant and well kept.
