We loved every moment of this tram ride! The tram was a gorgeous retrofitted carriage from 1920 with nice comfortable seats and an elegant atmosphere. The staff were kind and professional - how could the driver and the waiter time it so perfectly that we arrived at the end the moment we finished our coffee? Okay, this is not a super high end food experience but still very nice. Water and drinks were provided generously. My one suggestion is - please improve your online booking service. I worked VERY HARD to get a table for 2, for two weeks I kept checking and refreshing until your booking rules changed 3 days before departure and allowed smaller groups at tables of 4. As a result you departed with many empty tables and lost income. I am an airline revenue manager and can provide some ideas on how to improve your pricing and booking! But seriously - keep it up, we loved...
Read moreThe tram and its tour are wonderful, but the dinner is a rip off. All courses are very poor in quantity and quality. Forget about Italian top food tradition, you'll only get COLD, MEDIOCRE food, if not bad, like the hard meat we got (and left in the plate)! All for 70 euros per person! You'd better go to a top restaurant (you can eat WONDERFULLY for 50 euros) and tour Milan with a regular tram (1,50 euro ride). I am ITALIAN and I know what our quality in food is. This is meant to fool tourists, who will only go once in their life. So get this awful (and awfully expensive dinner) and BYE BYE, SO LONG. My first dish was 3 spoons of cous cous with a little vegetables; my second course was made of 2 slices of eggplant, one of mozzarella and one of tomato (total diameter: 8 cm/3 inches); the tiramisù was a slice as long as a tea spoon and thick 1,5 cm (0,6...
Read moreWhen you go to a restaurant for the experience, sometimes the food takes a back seat and the rest of what happens (the changing view or ride in this case) is what you savor. We were a group of four with reservations made 2 months in advance who spent 2.5 hours riding and dining on the ATM's (local Milanese transit) street car. Service and Food were okay for a transport device, but you may want a local expert to join you to point out all the sites (or a phone with a map running?). La Scala, Brera, Chinatown, navigilio and the Duomo were all on the itinerary. In terms of dining, the fish selection was better than the acceptable meat and vegetarian meals. The cod was very good, worth...
