Carmè Restaurant — Restaurant in Milan

It was my first time coming to this restaurant, most definitely my last. The food was flavourful and cook well. Although, for the prices that were listed on the menu, the service unfortunately did not match the same quality. Now maybe if you are Italian or someone very important, you might get better service. I believe so that, the management is executed very poorly. As my friends and I were dining, on our second bottle of wine, we were very rudely told that we must leave. A manager whom was not wearing a face mask, SHOUTED at me that there was others who would be sitting at our table and that we MUST evacuate. Although, there was a table of guests that was the same size as ours, had been there for much longer than my friends and I. I believe that because we were foreigners, they saw us as the seeker ones and instead of asking the other table to get up, they MADE US LEAVE THE TABLE WITH HALF A BOTTLE OF WINE THAT WE WERE STILL DRINKING. NOT ONLY WAS THIS UNPROFESSIONAL BUT ALSO RACIST. I have never in my lifetime been anywhere that is so rude to a guest, the manager literally was speaking over me while I was trying to understand what was happening. I left in fury and here I am, saving you 230 euros from a embarrassing night out. After reading so many negative comments we had lowered expectations from this place. Sono andato in questo ristorante con le migliori aspettative, avendone sentito parlare bene, tuttavia già dall’arrivo e dal primo approccio con il personale la delusione si è presentata imminente. Arrivati puntuali, chiediamo di accomodarci al tavolo per aspettare gli altri convitati, ma ci viene risposto che ci sarebbe stato un ritardo rispetto al turno da noi proposto telefonicamente. Dopo circa mezz’ora ci fanno accomodare al bar dove ci propongono di prendere qualcosa da bere, cosa che viene accettata con piacere per ingannare l’attesa. Dopo circa altri 15 minuti ci chiedono quindi finalmente di accomodarci al tavolo. Arriva il momento delle ordinazioni e ordiniamo 3 antipasti in 8 ed un piatto a testa, lo stracotto di manzo, che ci viene caldamente consigliato, in quanto preparato con 60 ore di cottura. Purtroppo non avevamo capito che forse fosse ancora da cuocere vista la lunghissima attesa e dopo più o meno 60 ore sono stati portati finalmente i piatti. Infine alcuni di noi hanno preso qualche dolce e caffè. Nulla da dire sulle pietanze che comunque risultavano ottime. Tutto questo per la modica cifra di quasi 700€. Per quanto mi riguarda dopo che si fanno aspettare degli ospiti con prenotazione per più di mezz’ora e gli si chiede di accomodarsi al bar, dovrebbe essere imperativo che ciò che viene consumato sia offerto per educazione, e non fatto pagare 20€ a drink al momento del conto.
