Casa Tobago — Restaurant in Milan

Casa Tobago has a truly unique and stylish atmosphere that sets it apart. Their cocktails are fantastic, clearly a highlight of the experience. However, the food falls a bit short, especially when you consider the higher price point. We spend more than 80 Euros per Person for very average food which was clearly not worth the high price point. The portions are on the smaller side, though they at least do provide plenty of bread to compensate. Service can be somewhat slow, but it’s delivered with genuine warmth and friendliness.

One issue to note is the table reservation policy: we discovered they only book tables for a specific time slot. After about 2.5 hours, we were asked to leave because the next group was waiting. Given that we spent over 80 euros per person, this felt inappropriate and rushed. The ambience was incredible and we liked everything; from the furniture, the real leather cutlery holder, the paintings on the wall etc…

The food was simply incredible! The pizzas had so much flavour and they arrived extremely quickly!

Locale molto suggestivo, mix perfetto tra arredi retrò in stile londinese e atmosfere esotiche. Gradevoli dal punto di vista estetico sia gli spazi interni sia quelli esterni. Molto cortese il servizio, bella la tuta/divisa brandizzata della ragazza che serve al nostro tavolo. Notevole, almeno sulla carta, la lista dei vini e dei cocktail. Qualità e porzioni della pizza, della carne e delle patate che degustiamo a cena nella media, prezzi a nostro giudizio decisamente troppo alti, considerando che non siamo in un ristorante tradizionale, tanto meno stellato, che la qualità delle portate e della cucina non è ricercata al punto da giustificare tali prezzi, e che il locale, che sorge in una zona non centrale, avrebbe potuto proporre un menù più accessibile, senza scimmiottare i prezzi dei più blasonati e laccati locali del centro (purtroppo questa dei prezzi livellati verso l'alto anche in modo ingiustificato è ormai una tendenza di molti locali milanesi, dove si paga più la forma, il design, il brand, della sostanza, complice un mercato speculativo che evidentemente lo consente/incentiva e una diffusa crescente inconsapevolezza dei clienti che pagano qualsiasi cifra senza domandarsi cosa stiano mangiando o bevendo).
