City life self service restaurant — Restaurant in Milan

My experience at this restaurant was one of the worst experiences I have ever had, I ordered salmon and salad and chips as a side order and was initially told that it would be 21 euros but when I asked for the bill was then told it was 31 euros. Let me also add that I am a black woman from the UK to put things into perspective, the waiter who served me was very hostile unfriendly and acted as if he couldn't care less if I was there or not. The food when it arrived was tasteless, cold and absolutely disgusting, I ended up not eating it but just paid the bill and left. I decided not to question or challenge the fact that they were exploiting me as I was there on my own and felt very unsafe. I encountered a lot of racism throughout my stay in this awful city in various places that I went to, the same hostility and general unfriendliness was the order of the day. I would strongly advise black people to stay away from this country as it is openly racist and hateful towards black people and you are likely to be ripped off in any of their restaurants if they agree to...

This cafe / restaurant is a perfect choice for a quick bite during breakfast or brunch. It consists of 2 floors, where you order what you need downstairs and the sitting area is upstairs. The people working there are very friendly and took their time to explain what they have on the menu and the ingredients used. They have a variety of cold/warm sandwiches and paninis, salty and warm pastries, even pizzas, pastas and proper main dishes but it was too much for me during breakfast, but basically there is something for everyone. They also have really good coffee and prices in general are very decent, considering it's location, which is very close to the central station, this place is far from being a tourist trap. This was the best start to our first day in Milan and Italy!!! The pasta and calamari was hearty, the cannoli was rich and creamy, and the sandwich was flavorful and light enough to continue the day wanting for more!

This was a great restaurant with incredibly helpful staff that had great energy and supported us as we were nervous to practice our Italian! Thank you for being so patient and kind, it makes all the difference when exploring for a wonderful experience!
