The food was great, I liked the cannoli and coffee a lot, but service is terrible. The lady at the cashier was very nice, but the moment I sat down, someone from the staff approached me and said now it’s lunch time so I can’t sit here for a long time (I had a book with me so I guess he assumed I wanted to spend many hours there). I explained I just want to eat and go (why would I read a book at a crowded and loud cafe), and he rudely grabbed the paper sheets from under my tray (meant for lunch) and threw them out. The lady next to me had long finished her coffee and was reading a book, and a bunch of people were on their headphones, not even remotely looking like they were waiting for lunch, but they just came to chill here long hours. It was totally embarrassing because the guy was loud and I immediately regretted spending any money in this place. Avoid if you’re not Italian, I feel like the bad treatment is targeted towards tourists. I’m super sad because I’ve been to Italy 5 times now and it’s my first ever bad experience in this country. Shame on you guys, a sole bad example in amazing Italian...
Read moreJust a 3-minute walk from the train station. The place is spacious, with a nice terrace outside. There are power sockets near the tables, so some people stop here to work. The staff works fast, and by noon the counter was full of pastries and desserts. Lunch was ready in about 5–10 minutes. Coffee is available with alternative milk.
Some mention the prices, but honestly, they match the quality — a large cup of cappuccino with delicious beans, great foam, and even a little heart on top. Freshly squeezed juice is also available. The atmosphere feels friendly and relaxed; one girl was cooking and singing along to Italian songs, which made it feel even cozier.
Two downsides: the toilet door doesn’t close properly and it’s not very clean, and the croissants are more like soft buns in texture. Overall, though, I’d recommend this café if you’re nearby and want a quick meal or a...
Read moreWorst experience ever regarding service. Ended up never getting a coffee. I already waited around 15min in the queue only to get the receipt taken by coffee making staff. 2-3 minutes later same person asking me what do I want told her I’ve ordered a cappuccino for takeaway and rushing to the train station she gave me quite a rude look. I said I may just go to the train station as in a rush and she said “ok that’s fine”. In travelling a lot but not met with such a lack of customer service before. Paid for my coffee and never got it. Also cafe is located opposite to the train station: one would assume it may take less than 20 minutes to get their coffee. Pastries looked nice though and lady working at the till was polite so may be down to certain...
