We stumbled upon Jin Yong during our travels in Italy after days of indulging in Italian cuisine, and we were craving something different. This place surprisingly surpassed our expectations.
We were seated immediately outside since they were cleaning up inside, which was perfectly fine. We ordered the spicy beef noodle soup, sweet and sour pork ribs, fried dumplings, and stir-fried hollow vegetables (morning glory).
The beef noodle soup was flavorful, though it was more of a beef and vegetable soup rather than a noodle soup. The beef was well-marinated and tender, and the soup was seasoned nicely with a hint of traditional spicy Taiwanese beef noodle soup, though not entirely.
The sweet and sour pork ribs were also great—tender and tasty, although the sauce had a bit too much Chinese black vinegar for my taste. The dumplings were good, fried perfectly with a juicy meat filling.
The highlight of the meal was the stir-fried hollow vegetables. As an Asian American, I appreciate vegetables stir-fried in a wok with garlic, and this dish nailed it perfectly.
Overall, Jin Yong definitely satisfied our Asian food cravings. Highly recommended if you're looking for a break from...
Read moreIn general, I have never given such a bad review. I prefer not to leave any rating at all rather than give a bad one. However, last night's dinner at this place was far from pleasant.
There were three of us for a late dinner. We ordered quite a bit, including beef soup (what was floating in the soup resembled more of a mix of tofu and liver), duck in curry, rice, duck and dumpling soup.

🔸️Dishes were served in random order, as they were prepared, not as they were ordered.
🔸️The duck was dry, with bones, and old (at least two days old). The dishes were cold.
I suggest taking care of the food quality, the freshness of the products, and better...
Read moreI hate to say it... but I would not recommend this place unless you know and want real chinese food. See, most of what is served outside of China as "chinese food" is westernized, saucy dishes. Other than that, Hui food is likely the second most loved food from china. Actual, real, chinese food, cooked by Chinese and loved by chinese - this is it. It will not meet your palate. In all my time in China, I ate almost exclusively in Hui places, and only once in a Han restaurant - the taste is exactly the same.
That said, the servers were friendly.
THAT said, I could hear the cook constantly yelling something about the gongbaojiding that we ordered, and when it came, it was meagre and oily, and ended up making me sick for 36 hours.
All in all, very oily, and very real. Their house stir-fry rice was good....
