Absolutely the worst gelateria experience I’ve had in Italy — and I’ve been here many times over the years.
We walked in expecting to enjoy a relaxed gelato break. Nobody greeted us, nobody smiled, nobody explained anything about prices or the fact that there’s an “extra fee” for sitting down. We ordered, paid, and when we saw the outdoor terrace was completely empty, we sat down to enjoy our ice cream. Within a minute, a waitress stormed over, no hello, no excuse me — just straight to “You have to leave.” When we asked why, she bluntly said we didn’t pay for sitting. We explained that nobody had told us about this, but she just shrugged and said it’s not her job to tell customers — that we should have asked. Excuse me? I didn’t realise I was supposed to be working there and reading their mind about hidden fees.
The whole thing felt like we were being chased away as if we had done something wrong, instead of being treated like paying customers. Not a single word of apology, no effort to fix the situation, just cold, rude, and dismissive attitudes. It completely ruined the experience.
And for what? The gelato itself was average at best — far too sweet, poorly textured, and absolutely not worth the price, let alone an extra sitting charge. I’ve had better gelato from tiny family-owned shops for half the price and twice the kindness. Here, you’re paying for arrogance and poor service, not quality.
I left feeling frustrated, unwelcome, and honestly embarrassed for having chosen this place. The only good thing I can say is that I won’t be making the same mistake twice. Milan has hundreds of better gelaterias — do yourself a favour and go to literally any other one.

Read moreRecently visited as a tourist to Milan. My family and I purchased a rather large quantity of ice cream within the store. Staff inside very unfriendly especially older man taking money etc. girls behind counter not as bad. Wouldn’t say overly friendly in comparison to lots of other places we had visited within the city. Just ok. I imagine as this place is located within a very busy tourist thoroughfare they rely heavily on tourist income. After purchasing a considerable amount of ice cream and spent a rather large sum of euros we went to sit down at seating area to enjoy. The same unfriendly man came over to us and more or less shooed us away. With the flick of the hand in a gruff really rude manner. You can’t sit here. Why?? We have just purchased from your cafe these are your seats. Then walked off. If he hand explained in a friendly manner why..yes then ok. But two mins earlier was more than happy to take a large sum of money off us. My very young daughter became very upset in the way he spoke to us. Given the number of ice cream places within the city there are much nicer and much much nicer staff. Support them instead. Cioccolat Italiani Gelato E Genio Italiano Via S. Raffaele, 4 Milan Italy was much nicer and staff super lovely friendly and welcoming. Why give businesses like this tourist income when they are utterly rude. This is putting it mildly. The most unfriendly place and locals we met the entire time in the city and wider area. Too many other nicer places to eat in and be spoken to in a respectful way. Avoid especially as an adult but even more so if you have children to be spoken to in such a horrible disrespectful...
Read moreI love the avocado flavor gelato, the melon flavor seems to be so sugary, its too sweet, the flavor seems to be fake! However, the old woman in the ccashier seems to be the owner, keeps on bragging one customer who paid a 20euro bill for the items she bought telling maybe in italian language that the customer's money is fake because the machine (maybe a money fake detector) does not accept the money. The customer was telling that the money was given to her by a restaurant when she paid her bills so it is impossible to be fake. Then later, the customer changed the money, but still the old woman in the cashier just keeps on repeating that the money is fake. The funny thing is, the old woman in the cashier is so irritating, she keeps on repeating what she is saying in italian well in fact the customer, maybe, can understand a little italian but cannot speak. The customer got irritated because the old woman is quite nagging her already because of accusing to pay a fake bill. The customer got irritated and went away angrily with shouting voice..maybe she spoke bad words toward the old woman in...
