During my recent visit to Milan, I had the pleasure of dining at Luna Rossa, and I can confidently say it was one of the best dining experiences I’ve had in Italy. From the moment I walked in, the warm and welcoming atmosphere set the tone for what would be a fantastic evening.
What immediately stood out was the incredible quality of the ingredients. Everything tasted fresh, vibrant, and thoughtfully sourced. The pizza—oh, the pizza!—was simply outstanding. The dough was light and perfectly baked, with that delicate balance of chewiness and crispness that true Neapolitan-style pizza should have. Each topping complemented the others beautifully, and you could really taste the freshness in every bite. It’s the kind of pizza that makes you pause after the first bite and just smile.
Beyond the food, the service at Luna Rossa is truly top-notch. The staff was attentive without being overbearing, knowledgeable about the menu, and genuinely passionate about what they do. It’s clear they take pride in offering not just a meal, but a full experience. Whether you’re a local or a tourist, they make you feel like a valued guest.
I left Luna Rossa not only satisfied, but already thinking about my next visit. It’s rare to find a place that delivers on every level food, service, atmosphere and Luna Rossa nails it all. If you’re in Milan and looking for an unforgettable meal with authentic flavors and impeccable hospitality, this is the place to go. I’ll...
Read moreGot Influenced by the good reviews this restaurant had. This restaurant was close to my hotel and showed good rating of google so went there. This was my first meal in Italy and I did not wanted to get disappointed so I was picky about seeing the reviews and eating.
But what a disappointment - they welcomed with good smiles, but felt like the server was not interested in serving me. As the menu was wide and pizza section was humongous I asked him for recommendation and clearly mentioned no meat 5 times atleast. He confirmed but still gave me a pizza with prushuto / meat. After serving that on my table they said they are closing kitchen so I literallyhad to remove the meat and eat the sides of the pizza, I had gone there direct from the airport. There was no bread served. Nothing.
One good thing - at the billing when I mentioned to the guy that I explicitly said no meat then he removed that dish charge and said sorry. So rating them one extra star for that guys kindness and feeling sorry for my lunch.
If the servers don’t understand the order they should clear it and not serve wrong food order. Also, tourists people are already nervous about the whole culture situation in this these guys add...
Read moreAs I was approaching the restaurant I saw a swarm of construction workers pouring out of the establishment. I knew then that I had made the right choice in choosing this restaurant. The overall atmosphere is very homey, a feeling of being in someone's kitchen, which is ideal when looking for authentic Italian food. Their menu, for someone who is indecisive is overwhelming as they have an abundance of options. You could easily go there everyday and have something new. The staff are very helpful and friendly and the kitchen staff move very fast considering how packed it usually is. I had the smoked cheese and rocket dish with gnocchi. A part of the enormousness of the menu is due to the ability to choose which type of pasta you want with any given dish. I was so pleased I went back again on my second day in milan. Upon my return I had the butter and sage tortellini. I was equally pleased. Yet another establishment I...
