(Visited September’19) I knew it was a good sign when I was the only “non-Italian” speaking customer in this cosy little restaurant, the boss Silvia was busy greeting everyone in Italian, trying to engage with me in broken pieces of English but his warmth and personality permeates through the language barrier.

The food started coming “Omakase” style, for most part i didn’t know exactly what I was having, I remembered the cheese was full of flavour, the grilled sole was perhaps the best grilled fish I’ve tasted to date, pasta dish was done very well too. More than the food, Latteria Maffucci strikes me as this hole in the wall place, a little out of Milan central, but definitely worth making your trip here.

Dinner takes time, and Silvia makes it a point to feed you really well. I was invited by the owner halfway through dinner for a smoke break (though I don’t smoke) it was nice observing the conversations - I was even invited to learn how to make espresso at the end of the meal, isn’t that what we love about dining out? Some of us seek out these “M stars” restaurants, for me - this is exactly the kind of place I love to at! Authentic food, good wine, great people!!

Thank you Silvia, and staff- sending my greetings from Singapore. Hope all is well, and look forward to be back soon! Stay...

Had a great lunch at this family run restaurant. It's comfortable and cosy. The family serve the best service and food. They don't serve a extensive menu but offer the best Italian dishes they cook. The best I have in Milan! The price is cheap. Friendly owner! Highly recommended this place if you are in Milan. Please call up and make reservation! It's small and...

What an amazing experience, it was like a food journey. We had 4 types of starters then first course and then main course and then desert. You need to book well in advance as the place is small and always booked. I also went to lunch one day and the è però è is the same. We had one starter soup with pesce and then a main course, with wine bread desert and digestive.
