Locanda Metropolitana — Restaurant in Milan

I was walking past this restaurant and had a feeling to go inside. I was so glad I did, I was served by the owner courteously and enjoyed one of the best meals I've had in Milan in a very long time. I followed the owners guidance on which dish to go for, and selected a starter and a main dish, followed by an incredible desert. You could tell they were passionate about what they were doing, from the owner, to the staff to the chef as every bite of food tasted tantalising, and no part of the food tasted exactly the same, it felt like an immersive full body experience from smells to taste. I later found out they are a new restaurant and I was their first customer and I'm so glad I chose this place. I can't wait to bring my friends and family here for dinners as honestly I haven't tasted better or been serviced more professionally in my time in milan. The world must come and dine here, it will take your breath away and your senses to places they haven't been before. Thankyou for what was a random find, but I believe I found a rare gem in this beautiful restaurant. Thankyou for showing me that real love can exist in food form and the service surrounding it was the icing on top. O ambiente do Locanda Metropolitana, em Porta Romana, é acolhedor e intimista. A sala estava tranquila, com música ambiente no volume certo para permitir conversar confortavelmente, e a iluminação com velas trouxe um toque especial e romântico à experiência.

O atendimento foi impecável: o funcionário que nos recebeu foi extremamente simpático e prestável, não só ao sugerir pratos, como também ao partilhar dicas valiosas sobre alguns monumentos menos conhecidos para visitar em Milão.

Na mesa, começámos com "tagliolini cacio e Pepe con guanciale croccante e spolverata do lime" — simplesmente delicioso. O sabor intenso do queijo ficou perfeitamente equilibrado pela frescura da lima, tornando o prato memorável, para acompanhar, vinho rose e chianti que deixou gosto para mais. Para sobremesa, escolhemos um tiramisù reinventado, que se revelou uma verdadeira explosão de sabor e um cheescake de frutos vermelhos maravilhoso.
