A good place of you are in the area and looking for traditional Milanese -Lombard foods. The food is solid as are the portions . Which for some would mean my 3 stars are their 4 stars , keep that in mind . So yes we had for starters zucchini flowers filled with a Béchamel - ham base, breaded and fried and the traditional fried meatballs . My zucchini flowers (4 of ‘em) overly fried , almost a bit of burnt taste. The meatballs - 6 pieces , enough for 2 or 3 people ok. Taste for both alright , nothing outstanding for the tastebuds, presentation rather simple, a little green or some color would go a long way . Mains : Parpadelle with porcini mushrooms and Saffron risotto with portion of veal shank . Both better than the starters. Solid , but not something that would make me go back. Good sized servings . We also had a bottle of Chianti Classico Reserva, our go to Italian red , always a safe bet if you are not looking or can’t find anything fancier on the wine menu. Service - almost rude when we arrived. We had a reservation , we given a table number … nobody initially showed us to our table , guess my Italian was so good they took me for a regular local guy 😂/jk. Small crowded seating we in the front room ( the nice of the 3 zones I would say , but not a lot of space and small tables … yes I know we are in Europe 😉. After asking for the wine list a bit friendlier service and our waiter good and attentive … language barrier to blame for not feeling as welcome ? Maybe . Given the severing sizes we skipped dessert . Would I go back ? Hmm maybe if in the area - it’s a bit of the center, so yeah...

My experience started from the moment I stepped in, I was greeted with an authentic ambiance that set the stage for a memorable dining experience.
I was in Milan just for a full day, and needed to make space to try the Milanese Risotto for the first time. It is not fair to say it is the best I've tried, as it was the only one I had while in Milan, but if I let my palate judge it, it deserved a standing ovation.
Starters were an experience alone: I had the delicious Mondeghili, with made me feel like an artist while eating it; and the Vitello Tonnato, that tricked my brain making me feel I was eating seafood, when actually eating veal carpaccio. The Ossobuco deserves a special shout-out for its phenomenal mouthwatering flavor.
The service was impeccable, as expected.
Overall, Osteria Conchetta is a must-visit for anyone seeking authentic Italian cuisine in a warm and inviting atmosphere. I'm far from being disappointed for selecting this osteria as the only special dining experience in...
Read moreWe made a reservation for this restaurant in the hopes of trying some Milanese dishes. Let me start by saying I think that charging people to sit in a restaurant is ridiculous as you need customers so when they are spending about €50 pp you shouldn't charge. The dishes were okay, the large costoletta was okay but needed a little more flavor but definitely a sauce and side with it as its €30 for just that on a plate. the buco was okay it was heavy but at least was served over rice. The fried mushrooms were good but didn't have any seasoning so a bit bland and too pricey for an appetizer €25 The service was great however and the manager came around and offered a little plate with a couple of extra tastings which was nice. I wanted to try the pasta made in the cheese wheel at the table but you were not allowed to order only one, which we were going to share but at €38 we decided to pass as its pasta. I think its okay but not sure if I would return as the value/taste...
