A late Friday evening in Milano, we wanted to find a restaurant with pasta and a cosy atmosphere. From the outside, this restaurant looked good, except for the table outside which was full of left overs although the guests have already left. We got a table outside next to this ”leftover table” and then after 15 minutes we were faced by a grumpy old waiter who started his interaction by saying ”NO BREAD” in an angry manner. Then I asked if they have a different type of bread, and he got angry by that question and took the basket of dry bread (the left overs) from the other table and aggressively put it on our table, so disgusting.

After the order, it took 20+ minutes to get our pasta and we didn’t even get the wine menu I had asked for when we made the order of food. ”Luckily”, the owner of the restaurant went out to take a cigarette and then I asked him what local wine they had. The guy took the semi full bottle on the leftover table and served us this wine. I was completely shocked by this service, it was so bad I can’t even describe it.

The food was not bad, but not the best I’ve ever had, average at best. But please, if you are in Milano, please avoid this place at all cost. You would get better service...

We ordered the prosciutto and melon to start of with which was fantastic. This unfortunately was followed by an incredibly disappointing steak.

We ordered the rib eye sashi steak but instead were given the sashi Florentine steak (which was a t-bone) - which was fine, however, the steak was still quite rare and we had asked it to be cooked medium. We then sent it back and asked for it to be cooked to a medium. When it was brought back to us it was incredibly chewy and wasn’t even a medium rare at this point. The potatoes as a side were quite yum however. The waiter was polite but after having already sent it back once, we decided not to bother and left it mostly untouched. The waiter had gifted us our drinks which was nice however considering the steak cost 100 euro, this didn’t really do much to the bill.

Considering the quality, the steak is definitely overpriced and not worth wasting your money on. We regretted not trying the pasta instead after seeing similar comments to...

I chose this place because intrigued by pictures of Cotoletta Milanese. Unfortunately once there I discovered they were out of it. I was tempted to leave to come back another day and I'm glad instead that I stayed.

I found the food to be very good. Everything was tasty and hearty.

I found meatballs quite good but a bit cold, like they had been reheated a bit too quickly. The tomato sauce was really good.

The pasta cacio & papa was really tasty and I was impressed by the texture of the cheese cream.

The sausage was extremely tasty and caught me by surprise, in a positive way.

I wish I had some room for dessert but I could not eat anymore.

Something that could have made the night even better is if when I entered I didn't perceive a sense of deep pressure and somehow urgency in the waiters that somehow transferred. I could see how things relaxed as the night was coming to an end and most customers started leaving, leaving the place quieter. They were clearly very busy...

Let's talk about food. We, as a foreigner and tourist, chose a restaurant and our local Milano friend said this place is good for meat. So we expected to have good steak here 🥩 even though he hasn't been to this restaurant before. Food was okay. I would say a little bit above average with starters and spaghetti carbonara. However, the steak was very chewy. I know steak should be cooked medium rare but some part was still red and it was inedible because it was too chewy. We had to ask the chef to cook a bit more but it was still chewy so we left it without finishing the dish. My opinion is that it's over-priced with the food quality. Thank you.
