I stayed in Milan for 4 days and I went to Pizzium twice and I didn't dare to try other pizza places since I was afraid that I'd be disappointed. The pizza dough is fantastic. The dough is soft and tender, but crispy on the surface! For some reason the pomodoro tastes like, at least for me, that they just opened a tomato can and spread it on the dough. I'd imagine that you would at least slow cook the pomodoro sauce for couple of hours before using it but no. But I don't think this is not just for Pizzium. I went to a pasta place and ordered tomato based spaghetti frutti di mare and the pomodoro tastes exactly the same as Pizzium. I believe this is the taste that Italians like. BUt I prefer a really intense, fruity and concentrated sweet taste of the tomato sauce. The fresh ingredients of ham, mozzarella and mortadella makes all the difference on the pizza. And make sure to sprinkle a lot of olive on the pizza before you eat your first bite. You will be sent to a another dimension of the pizza world. If you don't believe me, try the first bite as is and taste second time with olive oil. Let me know what you thought of it before and after olive oil. And you should know that the olive oil served at Pizzium is not just any kind of standard olive oil you will find in a supermarket in Milan. We had to go the Rinascente department store to get it. A 200 ml bottle costs €13. And we used like a half a bottle while we were eating. In the evening there can be a waiting list and it can be a wise move to make a reservation if you really wanna have one of the pizzas in Milan!

Nice but not amazing... The ingredients are really good, the location is great and the dough is nice but the overall result in terms of pizza lacks “unity”: it is like eating a dough base with tomato sauce on it and some further ingredients on top not communicating to one another, rather than a “holistic” and “harmonic” pizza (see also my pics below). I was a bit disappointed by that, a real pity considering the high quality of the ingredients. The desert and the service were also a bit poor: the cheesecake was made of whipped cream (?!), and the waiters were often confused or not helpful, for instance on whether the pizzas were red (with tomato sauce) or white (without).. Overall, the place has potential but some improvements are urgently needed.

If you expect to get the same pizzas that you can get in any other Italian restaurant, you'll probably be a bit disappointed. The pizzas are nearly all regional and a few of them are even without tomato sauce. This, therefore, makes for a unique experience in terms of flavors (ever had ham and pistachio together on a pizza?) and something that seems like a welcome detour from the more traditional Italian pizzas. All in all very delicious pizzas! Do note, however, that when the restaurant is packed during the evening, the noise levels can get quite high, which could be a damper on the mood if you were hoping for a romantic dinner. (The pictured pizza was the "Piemento", which contains smoked cheese, pork sausage and baked potato. Delicious!)

Decent food, poor service. We came to Pizzium to try the pizza but were unfortunately disappointed. We arrived at our reservation time and sat at our table for 20 minutes before being served anything. I watched our waiter stand around and joke with his colleagues for 15 of those minutes. We ended up stopping another waiter and asking if we could get water and place an order. He left and got our waiter to come serve us, who was not welcoming at all. The pizza came out within 15 minutes and was good but bland compared to other pizza I’ve tried in Milan. I gave 2 stars instead of 1 because the crust was nicely cooked and the presentation was nice.

Everything was simply fantastic! The staff was outstanding, exceptionally polite and incredibly friendly. Our waitress had a strong command of English and explained all the menu options we inquired about in great detail. The service was lightning-fast. Our pizza arrived in just 5 minutes. We were amazed by the speed! The atmosphere truly embodied an Italian vibe, making us feel like we were in a genuine pizzeria. We ordered pizza and cannoli. The pizza was truly "Italian," juicy, flavorful, with a crispy crust. Cannoli - a divine dessert! Crispy pastry shells filled with sweet ricotta cheese. Absolutely delicious! Strongly recommended!

A great place to have an amazing tasty pizza. Their pizzas are really thin (you get to taste the pizza topping instead of filling your stomach with pizza bread) and they prepare them quickly. We also had Tiramisu and Cappuccino which were decent. Very friendly staff. The only reason people might not give them a 5 star rating is because when it gets crowded, you have to wait outside. But then, consider you are going to a special place just beside one of the busiest and most crowded streets of Milan (and Italy) = Corso de Buenos Aires.
