Amazing little Italian restaurant on the heart of Milan. Great menu offer with super yummy starters/ mains offering a mix of fish/ meat and vegetarian plates. Incredible selection of pasta dishes from the Italian tradition with a modern twist. They have a great wine offer both at the glass and by the bottle. Last but not least yummy desserts to finish the meal with a smile. We had fried squid and glasswort / Crispy octopus cream of cannellini beans/ Artichoke salad, spiked cabbage and fresh broad beans / pacchierai with sausage, mushroom, caciocavallo cheese / Tiramisu. Everything was super yummy and highly recommended. The decor is super warm and modern. Feel like home. Located very closer to Porta Romana’s metro station. Indoor and outdoor seating available. Super nice staff and they accept dogs and are kind to kids. A gem 💎.

Although it’s revered by credible people I know , but to each his own , I thought it was less than average & infact borderline bad They try to reintroduce traditional recipes into a contemporary sense , I’ve had the octopus ragu which was awful in every way , followed by an equally bad peas pasta of sorts but that’s not all , the real woes came with desserts , a very sad looking tiramis Response to MGT’s comment : I’m not a “connoisseur” nor claim to be one , before you accuse me of not reading the menu , reminder that I was given the Italian one !!! your patronizing remarks about my “idiocy” is but a reflection of yours , You can’t accept that a foreigner rated you poorly , instead you go on about in full Karen Mode Unfortunately / Fortunately for you , Class can’t be taught , but Cooking Can

It was my second visit but it will be my last because of its poor service! I could not believe that a small restaurant like this provide this level of poor service.

  1. I made a reservation few weeks before my visit. When I arrived at the restaurant, it was very empty (other than 2-3 tables). When the waitress took me to our table, I could not believe that my reserved table was the one right in front of the door (when there are plenty of empty tables with no one!).

The restaurant was empty when I arrived and there were no explanations or reasons for them to put me on the table next to the door on a cold day. I requested a change, but the waitress and waiter were very rude in handling my request.

  1. Food - we ordered few pasta dishes and steak to share between three of us. About 10 mins after ordering food, all meals came together (very cold and dry). I never experienced a proper pasta place serving pasta and meat course coming together unless it was requested by the customer. Clearly the servers or restaurant did not know how to serve courses properly. No idea why this happened. Food was not impressive too. Very cold and dry.

  2. when I got the bill, I noticed that the first line item was ‘bread and water’. The interesting part is that - when every table in the restaurant got bread basket as they arrived, we hadn’t received any complementary bread.

When I asked the waiter what the item was, his response was “In Italy, we call service charges as ‘bread and water’. That’s how we do it” Without being surprised that our table did not get the bread or being apologetic.

For the record, any other Italian restaurants we visited in the city, complementary bread was always there and there was no such item as bread and water service charge without providing one!

I feel very deceived and disappointed with this visit. I hope people see this review and make sure 1) they do not visit the restaurant or 2) make sure they get the service the restaurant promises.

Horrendous service with mediocre food standard are not traits you experience from a successful restaurant....

Actually looks better in the photo than in real life, it's OK but really simple food with not much taste. The atmosphere is good, the service is very strange. It's strange because after we finished eating, still drinking, and decided against ordering desert, as a consequence we were no longer considered guests and asked to pay, then when we were still sitting at the table 1min later, asked to leave because new visitors may come so that we don't take up space. At that time we had spent under 45min on out table and there were more than 3 free tables. They asked us in a friendly but definiteve way, essentially to leave immediately. This is the first time in my life such an experience, which is not entirely pleasant. After leaving the restaurant I was extremely disappointed because they had...
