My favourite restaurant in Milano. I've been going here for years. They serve one of the best Pizzas in the city, for a price that will astonish you.
Food: I always get either their Margherita or their Diavola. The Pizza is huge and is quite filling. One should consider twice if they really want to have a starter. The pizza is with a neapolitan style with crispy outside and doughy soft inside. Their sauce is made from their amazing tomatoes, so sweet and not very acidic. Their mozzarella adds so much richness to the pizza and generally just tastes amazing. If you are a cheese lover, you can ask for another ball of mozzarella on your pizza. I tried their pasta alla sorrentina once and it was undersalted. I like their bruschetta a lot. The bread they serve is rustic and has an amazing taste to it. It is served with diced tomatoes, a ball of mozzarella and couple of leaves of basil. The Tiramisu is excellent. There's nothing like more I can say. It's just excellent.
Service: I always make a reservation (recommended) but I always arrive a bit early and they're happy to accommodate me. The waitstaff are all young, polite, and happy to accommodate our requirements. The food is served within 5-10 minutes.
Atmosphere: It's always bustling with people. Sometimes you feel like you're sitting too close to the next table and you're in someone's private space. But if you look the other way, everything just settles down with the background noise, which is always people enjoying their food. It's not loud and offending but rather pleasant. I cannot really tell what the interior decor is about but it reminds me of a modern American burger cafe. It also helps that you can finish your dinner and walk the length of the Navigli.
Also, you can get your pizza to go. Which is very handy when the time comes.
Overall 10/10 place service great food at very nice prices. Absolutely...
Read moreI recently dined at a restaurant in the heart of the city that left me with mixed feelings. On one hand, the food was absolutely fantastic, and the prices were surprisingly affordable. However, I couldn't help but be disappointed by the slow and poor service.
Let's start with the positives. The restaurant's menu is a delightful fusion of various cuisines, offering a wide array of dishes to cater to different tastes. I was particularly impressed by the flavors and quality of the food. The dishes were not only delicious but also reasonably priced, which is a rare find in the city center.
The ambiance of the restaurant was also charming, with cozy seating and a welcoming atmosphere. It's the perfect place for a casual meal or even a special occasion, given the affordability of the menu.
However, the glaring issue that marred the experience was the service. It's not an exaggeration to say that the service was slow and, at times, outright poor. It took an inordinate amount of time for the staff to take our orders, deliver our food, and attend to any requests we had. It was frustrating and tested our patience throughout the meal. Additionally, the servers seemed disinterested and inattentive, which further detracted from the overall experience.
In conclusion, while the restaurant offers exceptional food at affordable prices, the slow and lackluster service significantly dampened the dining experience. If they can address these service issues, it could easily become one of the top dining spots...
Read moreI recently had the pleasure of dining at Pizza e Mozzarella, and I must say, it was a delightful experience from start to finish.
The restaurant's spacious and inviting ambiance immediately sets the tone for a memorable evening. It's a perfect spot for families and friends alike. Even though the outdoor seating was closed due to rain, the indoor atmosphere was so welcoming that it more than made up for it.
Now, let's talk about the star of the show – the Neapolitan pizza. The freshness of the pomodoro sauce and the quality of mozzarella cheese and basil used are truly exceptional!!!
The staff at Pizza e Mozzarella are both friendly and attentive. They offer menus in both English and Italian, making it accessible for all diners. We also tried the Gnocchi Alla Sorrentina and O'Cuopp, which, while decent, paled in comparison to the outstanding pizza.
In terms of beverages, I found the red still wine to be a great accompaniment to the pizza. They offer house beers as well, which are decent if you prefer a cold brew.
One noteworthy aspect is the table charge of 1 Euro per person, which is reasonable considering the exceptional dining experience.
In summary, Pizza e Mozzarella is a haven for Neapolitan pizza lovers. The combination of the delicious pizza, warm ambiance, and friendly staff make it a must-visit. If you're in the mood for outstanding Italian cuisine, this place...
