Poormanger — Restaurant in Milan

Start queuing at 6:45pm if you wanna get in fast as you can’t make a reservation! Service was quick and efficient, I’ve never seen such coordinated staff in Italy actually! Quite something! Food was quick to come crema di zucca with goats cheese was nice but nothing special, it lacked seasoning and perhaps a bit of spice would have been nice. The Gorgonzola potato was more sausage than Gorgonzola, which was fine but not was I was expecting. The potatoes themselves were beautifully cooked though, fabulously fluffy!! Atmosphere was lacking a bit of music and a couple of heaters would have been appreciated especially as we had queued outside for half and hour before...

Servizio pessimo, personale scortese sia con noi che con il tavolo accanto. Mentre stavamo mangiando gli antipasti abbiamo chiesto del pane per ben 3 volte senza ottenere risposta, stavamo aspettando per terminare gli antipasti e ci portano le patate. Al che dico alla ragazza che avevamo ancora i piatti con gli antipasti e non avevamo finito, non ottengo una risposta ma soltanto una smorfia sul suo viso come scocciata dalla mia affermazione. A questo punto ci lasciano le patate piú i piatti degli antipasti e aspettavamo sempre il pane. Nel tavolo accanto due turisti vengono fatti alzare per essere spostati in un altro tavolo e il ragazzo chiede gentilmente di aver pulite le sedie visto che erano sporche e piene di briciole e la cameriera invece di chiedere scusa per il disagio e servire il cliente gli risponde male e pulisce scocciata. Ma non finisce qui, andiamo per pagare e dico che avrei pagato due quote e non una e la ragazza mi risponde scocciata e con un tono alquanto antipatico che ormai aveva diviso per 3 e aggiunge affermando “deve capire che é un giorno di festa e io sono qui a lavorare, se vuole viene lei qui dietro e prende il mio posto.” Premesso che anche io lavoro con il pubblico e lavoro nei giorni di festa ma non mi permetterei mai di rispondere male a un cliente solo perché é festa. Nessuno le ha imposto di fare questo lavoro. Siamo venute diverse volte in questo posto ma il personale di prima non ci aveva mai trattato cosí. Non penso che...

The place has a nice and warm atmosphere. I ordered the special flavor of potato dish they have for January. Although the curry and miso vegetables were nice, the plant-based cutlet they put on top was extremely tasteless and tough. I ordered the benet for dessert. It was my first time eating this dessert, it had a bit of a strong flavor but I liked it. I didn't love the flavors much in general but if I come across here again, I might try another flavor of their potatoes...
