My partner and I decided to have a late dinner, after researching for awhile we decided on Qui Si Mangia as the reviews for the most part, were quite positive. However we left feeling disappointed at the food and service for the following reasons.

the bread we received after ordering was quite stale and cold, it didn’t at all seem fresh. we ordered prosciutto with mozzarella, however the prosciutto was very dry (indicating it was not freshly cut or stored appropriately) and had sections of mould on the corners (see photo), definitely not the standard of some of the other restaurants we have visited (of which we received higher quality and lower prices) we ordered when the restaurant only had one other group in there, however the restaurant filled up about 15-20 mins after we arrived. Despite ordering our food before the majority of groups even arrived, we received our food after about half the groups had been served (we waited about 30-40 minutes for our food), when we finally received our food: the beef ragu bolognese sauce was very bland the tagliatelle with seafood had over-cooked shrimp, I also believe it wasn’t fresh shrimp as it had a rubbery texture to it and was not deveined properly the service was very slow and inattentive to us as two individuals, prioritising the larger groups. Several tables of groups arrived after us and were served with food first. I requested the bill several times before finally receiving it. an additional note was that on a Saturday night at 7:30-8:30pm, the restaurant was not busy and was attended by almost entirely tourists and not locals (which is a message in itself).

I can’t see myself returning and I’d recommend anyone else find somewhere more adequate for the price range. Despite the many high rated reviews this place has, I would encourage you to have a look at the most recent reviews (as google by default shows you ‘most...

We decided to search online for a good local restaurant during our last night in Milan. Both Yelp and Google directed us to Ristorante Qui Si Mangia.

Good is an understatement. This place was AMAZING. Our party of 7 had such a great time dining at this establishment. The service was very good. The owners were extremely kind. We dined quite early so we basically had one of the dining areas to ourselves. It really felt like we were just having a fun dinner at home…that was the vibe that I got.

I ordered the spaghetti with seafood. DELICIOUS. WONDERFUL. THE BEST DANG PASTA DISH I HAVE EVER EATEN IN MY LIFE. The dish was covered with a thin piece of crispy but chewy dough that you can dip in the pasta sauce. It also had a lot of seafood: clams, mussels, shrimp, calamari, and one large prawn. And I mean, it was LOADED with seafood. The pasta was perfectly al dente, the sauce was PERFECT. Every single bite tasted like the ocean, I am not even exaggerating.

Everyone else truly enjoyed their food. Best part is that each dish stayed nice and warm, never getting cold as we enjoyed our food.

Our meal at Ristorante Qui Si Mangia was the highlight of our Milan trip. The servers/owners were so kind, the food was great, and the ambiance made you feel at home.

Service: 5* Taste: 5* Ambience: 4* Food quantity: 5*

While on vacation, stopped by this place to have dinner. Great little restaurant right next to the new Duo Milano Porta Nuovo. Greeted by what I assume were a husband and wife team. Very nice and accommodating.

For a starter, we ordered the fried calamari and the mussel soup. Delicious! Maria brought over some garlic flat bread that we used to sop up the juices from the soup. My dinner mates ordered the spaghetti carbonara, tagliatelle con Raghu and porcini and I ordered the seafood spaghetti. The carbonara was great, well seasoned and perfectly Al dente. The tagliatelle was perfect and the ragu and porcini sauce was fantastic.

My spaghetti with seafood was a real surprise. It came out in a large earthen ware shallow dish covered in dough. It had been roasted in the oven until the dough was toasted and the inside was steamed perfectly. Maria took off the top to reveal the spaghetti with mussels, shrimp, a prawn, and some calamari. The dough we used to sop up juices from everyone’s meals. It was so good. Like a thick fresh flour tortilla, but much more flavorful. What a great meal!

We would return here and plan to in...
