Riviera Milano Restaurant - Lounge Club — Restaurant in Milan

The worst restaurant experience of my life, DO NOT GO HERE!! If you don’t spend as much money as they hope, they will treat you as garbage. While we were still eating, we got transferred to a table with leaking water on top of us and staff bumping into us while running back and forth from the kitchen. We could not sit in the table so we kindly asked to change the table. They made us wait for over 10 minutes standing in the middle of the restaurant while while we yet hadn’t finished with our food. After waiting for 15 minutes, we told that we want to leave and ended up having the staff lady shouting to our faces telling that we were liars and thieves. Our group left crying with minor discount of 20% and 100% ruined our Saturday night in Milan.

The whole story: Our group was really looking forward to dining in a fancy restaurant on our first evening in Milan, and everything started out very nicely. We had a change of plans and had to arrive without a reservation. Your staff told us right away that they had space for us to dine and after 5 minuted of waiting we were able to start enjoying our champagne and pasta. Unfortunately, the situation took soon a very unpleasant turn. In the middle of our meal, a waiter told us that we would have to change a table without first indicating where we would be relocated. We didn’t exactly agree on switching before your waiter moved our belongings, even though we were still eating. We were then moved to a table where water was leaking from the ceiling on top of one of us, and the other had to sit in the aisle where staff kept bumping into her while running back and forth from the kitchen.

We spoke to several members of staff (at least three or four) to request another table, but we were repeatedly told to wait. After standing in the middle of the restaurant while our food was getting cold and waiting for over 10 minuted with no action, we decided to leave. I explained our decision and offered to pay with a preferable discount again with no action from your staff, just telling to wait. After waiting again in the lobby for 5 more minutes, we decided to step out of the way to outside wait for your staff. This brunette lady waitress came outside and immediately started shouting at our faces. We explained her the situation and she accused us of being liars and thieves even though she hadn’t talked with any of her colleagues who we had complained about the situation yet.

They offered us a small refund (about 20%) that was eventually processed because we didn’t want to argue and ruin our night more, at this point our whole group was crying already. The way the entire situation was handled left us feeling disrespected and shocked. I contacted the restaurant directly later to handle the situation with respect but no...

Back in may 2025 i made a birthday reservation for September 1st 2025 (my 18th birthday). I wanted a special place to celebrate my birthday with bottle service,good music and amazing food. I thought Riviera was the one. I was so excited to take videos there to post on my TikTok account with a few thousand followers to really recommend Riviera. Most important detail would be the fact that I sent an email every month asking for a confirmation that everything I asked for is possible and i got a positive answer every time. I wanted bottle service and the led sign saying “Happy Bday” so nothing too complicated , just the usual. The big day comes , I get ready , arrive at the restaurant. It was completely empty , that wasn’t really an issue it just felt awkward. We ordered the appetizers and then ask for a bottle (champagne) menu. We get the menu and ask for a bottle. Next thing they bring us the “last” two bottles they have. We did not like them and was completely disappointed for my own 18th birthday putting my trust in Riviera. The food was nothing special. Compleanno rovinato ! Ero invitata al compleanno della mia amica al ristorante club riviera . Ero molto entusiasta di vedere questo locale . Quando sono arrivata ho visto che il locale era super bello e elegante , diverso dagli altri . Sono entrata insieme con la festeggiata . Appena siamo entrati il personale ha chiesto il nome e prima di accompagnare al tavolo ha detto che il tavolo e riservato solo fino le 22.30 perché poi dovevano arrivare altre persone . La mia amica ha detto che era tutto concordato e che al telefono quando lei aveva prenotato le era stato detto che il locale ha 2 turni, però siccome lei festeggiava il compleanno e ha portato la torta poi dopo la cena noi saremmo state spostate da un tavolino dove potevamo prenotare la bottiglia di bollicine e verrà consegnato la torta con musica del DJ e un piccolo show del personale con le candeline . Invece tutto era diverso . DAL PRIMO MOMENTO CHE ERAVAMO SEDUTI TUTTI ABBIAMO SENTITO LA PRESSIONE CHE DOBBIAMO FARE TUTTO IN FRETTA , i piatti di antipasto ce li hanno tolti mentre stavamo ancora mangiando, si percepiva la fretta dei camerieri e la pressione su di noi per tutto il tempo al tavolo . Alle 22.15 avevano già portato il conto . E hanno chiesto di spostarci al bar . Al bar siamo state abbandonate e dopo 3 o 4 volte che abbiamo chiesto del tavolino promesso dopo più di 1 ora di attesa hanno dato finalmente il tavolino . Poi siamo stati abbandonati anche lì. Nessuno chiedeva che bottiglia avremmo voluto ordinare e non chiedevano se eravamo pronte per la torta . Oltretutto il taglio della torta aveva un prezzo di 5€ anche se l’avevamo comprata noi. Abbiamo chiesto noi 3 volte di portare la torta perché fra poco il giorno di compleanno e finiva . E dopo uscito una persona con un altra con piccolo torcia di luce e hanno messo la torta senza candellina senza nemmeno chiedere che bottiglia abbiamo scelto in modo non bello . ( non come hanno promesso al telefono) Dopo ci siamo lamentate ancora e abbiamo detto che al telefono hanno promesso un altro servizio. Solo dopo ennesima lamentela hanno dato il menù di bollicine hanno ritirato la torta e poi hanno presentato la torta come è stato promesso con la musica Dj con show di camerieri e candele . però ora mai compleanno era quasi rovinato . Poi abbiamo notato che altri tavoli che sono arrivati sempre nel turno da 21.30 erano ancora seduti e nessuno ha fatto alzare loro . Mi sono sentita umiliata e mi è dispiaciuto tanto per la festeggiata . Se lei avesse scelto altro ristorante non capitavano di certo così tante gaff...
