The Best Restaurant I’ve Tried in Milan
I’ve had the chance to try some of the more popular and lively restaurants in Milan, but this one truly stands out as the best so far. It may not be flashy or trendy, but it offers something even more special — a truly traditional Milanese experience with simple, comforting, and beautifully executed flavors.
The food has that kind of easy, honest taste that makes you feel at home, and it’s clear that they put a lot of care into every dish. I loved it so much, I came back twice during this trip — and I would go again without hesitation.

Read moreCame across this place by complete chance. It says it was closed when checking on Google maps, and so we were the only table there for the entire duration of our meal. The waiter we had was incredibly kind and helpful (only spoke Italian but still managed to communicate everything fine) and the food was absolutely phenomenal. We all had pasta dishes , and were able to request a standard carbonara although not listed on the menu (the menu was fully Italian). I had 1/2 bottle of Livio Felluga Vertigo; Parma ham, shaved Parmesan and rocket salad; and black cuttlefish risotto. I expressed an interest in grappa and the owner presented me one I had never seen nor heard of; Grappa Gentile, not available in most of Europe and certainly not available in the United States.
