Wang Jiao — Restaurant in Milan

seemed funny to come to Italy and have chinese food however we fancied spicy food....we had fried shrimps with peanuts which were a bit too crunchy, peanuts were cashew nuts and meat was not easy to come off. Also had seafood noodles and fried rice, both tasty but too oily, shame. The last dish was chicken mushrooms and this was nice. Our concern is around the oil and salt used, well too much and service was so slow and messy that when the waiter came ( i had to call him) we were told that the kitchen was closed....then we had to remind them about our order... again shame really as expectations were high...and evening was a flop...to end the meal you get free...

Un Venerdì sera di una giornata interessata da uno sciopero del personale dei trasporti pubblici e conseguente traffico in tilt. Tavolo per 2 prenotato ore 20:30, ore 20:20 chiamo al ristorante annunciando un mio possibile ritardo di circa 10 - 15 minuti (causa assenza parcheggio in zona). Arrivo al ristorante alle ore 20:40 e mi viene assegnato "perchè arrivato in ritardo" (così mi è stato detto dal ristoratore!!!) uno dei 3 tavoli di fronte al bancone/cassa/bar e di fronte alla porta di ingresso del locale che, ovviamente, quasi perennemente aperta faceva entrare il vento freddo che mi colpiva in pieno. Inoltre, essendo il tavolo a neppure un metro dal bancone, le persone che attendevano/pagavano il conto ed il personale di sala non facevano altro che urtarmi in continuazione. Una situazione ironica, più che comica. Una situazione ironicamente paradossale che mi ha costretto ad andare via senza neppure ordinare. Ma il fatto principale è che ammettere "il vostro tavolo era quello appartato ma vi mettiamo qui perchè sei arrivato in ritardo" (testuali parole!!!), significa ammettere al cliente di sapere che i 3 tavoli in questione sono in una posizione disastrosa. Bella figura per un ristoratore. Un ristorante non è solo un posto in cui consumare del cibo ma, un posto in cui il cliente deve sentirsi a proprio agio. Per fortuna che la zona è piena di altri ristoranti decisamente più accoglienti in cui mangiare ugualmente bene. Dato che la mia critica non è sterile ma costruttiva, suggerisco che sarebbe bastato mettere un paravento di fronte alla porta e/o 4 coperti in meno per rendere il tutto più piacevole. La mia recensione valuta esclusivamente location ed il personale responsabile di sala e non il cibo che, purtroppo, non ho avuto la possibilità di gustare. Though it clearly states online and in the restaurants own sign in their window that they open at 18.00, when we entered at nearly 18.20 we were met with a very rude reception. What seemed to be a number of staff were eating at a table in the back of the restaurant and when I asked if they were open a "no" was rudely communicated by one of the staff members. Nobody offered any information and overall they were extremely rude. I would not recommend spending money somewhere where they are...
