Found this restaurant on google map for traditional Italian food, seems they are one of the popular local restaurants in that area, I walked in and assigned a table at outdoor which I wanted. Asked for the English menu but they didn’t have so I can only asked Google translate to help me (which is the most reliable way😊) Picked the fried pumpkin flowers which I never tried and it stuffed with cheese and battered fried, very fluffy n totally not greasy. I order the fried seafood mixed plate by mistake due to miss reading the words on the menu, the portion is big and good for sharing if you have a group of people. The ingredients are super fresh, batter is not too heavy, and don’t know how they make it totally not greasy outside but juicy inside. I’m not a big fans of heavy savoury food and not sure if it’s the way it is for authentic Italian food. The seafood dish is just too salty for me. These two dishes come with chips which is also very crispy and tasty. The only down side of this restaurant is music is too loud, tables setting is too crowded, the waiters kicked on my chair few times and I don’t know if this is part of the culture or not🤷🏻♀️ seems they are in rush all the time. Apart of the ambience, I think it’s worth it to try if you don’t mind a not too...
Read moreThe booking process was easy. I could not get through on phone but received an SMS and could book that way. The service was pleasant and efficient. The meat and cheese sharing board provided delicious salami and porchetta. The cheeses, all of hard sheep cheese style with a variety of additions, including chilli and black truffle were pleasant but some variety in cheese would be nice. Rigatoni (no spaghetti as advertised) Carbonara was adequate but guanciale pieces were microscopic. Despite little guanciale it was incredibly salty. Amatriciana with bucatini was beyond al-dente, I would say 'undercooked' but I realise it can be a regional preference. It was difficult to eat with a fork. I wish to end on a high and say the fried artichoke was delicious, the beer cold and the...
Read moreThe service is even worse than the amount of “peppe” in the caccio e peppe pasta. We are a couple and sat at a table for three since we had bags with us. The waiter gave us menus and everything and 15 minutes later came to ask us why are we sitting at a table for three since it’s only the two of us. Almost made a scene. We said we can switch tables if that’s a problem and he started talking something in italian with his colleagues and ignored us. He was super rude. We ordered caccio e peppe and carbonara pasta and the amount of pepper in them was so much you couldn’t taste...
