I had the pleasure of visiting Pizza Fritta Da Zia Esterina on a recent trip to Naples and I have to say, it was a truly exceptional experience. The pizza fritta was absolutely spectacular - the dough was fresh and light, and the ingredients were bursting with flavor. I particularly appreciated the fact that the waiting time wasn't too long - we were able to get our hands on some delicious pizza fritta in about 35 minutes.

I’m honestly not sure why there is such a hype about this place, and about Pizza Fritta. We were passing by spontaneously, 10 minutes before the place opened. We thought about trying it out since the queue was quite short still. The prices of the pizza fritta is quite fair, so we got three to try them out. Service was not really good, and we were rushed to get out of the way and pay. We sat upstairs and waited until our number was called. In fact, numbers are called out every two minutes, making the place quite stressful, downstairs as well as upstairs. I cannot judge the pizza fritta (vegetariana) itself, but it didn’t taste like much, just very much fried and a bit cheesy. Better were the meaty ones, but also not super amazing in my opinion. good? great. staff? horrible. place has no opening hours on the door. you come 11:35 when they should be open, the door was open, they just ignore you. you come 11:50 they say 10 more minutes. takes 3 more minutes and it’s already full of people and they take orders 😅 I mean… then you get yourself to the line so you can wait some more but the guy pushes you to wait outside on the street because apparently you can’t just wait in the line inside. There is no marks or signs to wait outside, obviously just someone like to command people. You get the order done. You get the food and guess what, there’s a line inside and people waiting inside not at the street. Lovely experience....
