Gelateria Scimmia Factory — Local services in Naples

I had Fondente and Nutella... the Fondente was pretty good (but also not nearly as good as my fave store back home), but the Nutella... yuk! seriously.. when you order "Nutella" at an ice cream store, you expect Nutella ICE CREAM, not pure Nutella which is pretty sure what I got (my boyfriend said the same), it was not as cold as the other one, didn't melt like normal ice cream, very dense. fatty... Nutella. Sometimes u might crave just that, but I certainly wasn't and had to throw away the thing unfortunately after 2mins... trying to eat one half of a cone doesn't work for long and we didn't have a spoon... Other flavors might be great, but certainly not...

In short: stay away.

A medium sized cone costs 3.50€, which is very clearly written. So when I return to pay and put down 7€ for the two cones we ordered, the guy tells me: 10€, because we sat on the terrace. Of course this is written nowhere, and 3€ service tax is a bit high, as I point out. He immediately stats yelling aggressively in Italian.

On a personal note, the server was rude and had a f-ing attitude.

For what it's worth, the ice cream tasted OK but below average by the standard of Naples. There are plenty of better ice cream places in a radius of 50m. Avoid.

Gelateria Scimmia? More like...

Got some ice cream and were asked by the owner if we wanted to take a seat outside or get it to go, when we asked for a seat he said it was full. We did find a seat at a table when asking a man sitting alone and ate the ice cream. The owner came and as very angry with us and said we lied to him saying we said we asked for take away. He informed us that we would have had to pay 1€ more to sit outside but refused to take it from us now and continued berating us. We didn’t know about the 1€ extra for seating and would have happily payed for it but were yelled at for a simple misunderstanding and...
