Food Poisoning and Lack of Response
Dear Arx Team,
I am writing to express our deep concern following a very unfortunate experience after dining at your restaurant in Naples (April). My husband and I had dinner and shortly after, experienced severe food poisoning symptoms. This led us to seek emergency medical attention, and hospitalized for several hours. Still recovering and remain unwell.
We had ordered the lasagne and the cheese plate, both of which raised serious concerns about freshness and food safety. This was not only deeply disappointing but also dangerous.
I called the restaurant today to inform you about the incident. Unfortunately, the response was extremely unprofessional—the person I spoke to abruptly ended the call without acknowledging the situation or offering any assistance.
We strongly urge you to take this matter seriously. For the health and safety of future guests, we hope you investigate the quality and handling of the food served, especially the items we consumed.

Read moreMy experience with the service leaves me with only one possible conclusion, being that the staff simply cannot read. We made an order, which was written down by the waiter. Despite two waiting staff thoroughly “reading” our receipt (4 items long) multiple times, they proceeded to bring out the wrong item twice, followed with inexplicable expressions from the staff at how they could get this (a ham and cheese toastie) wrong (again), upon which we gave up and accepted the sandwich. Upon paying double the price of equivalent food in the city centre, they somehow had the gall to request a tip and give us dirty looks when we refused. Non existent work ethic, overpriced, mediocre fare. Never come here no matter how hungry you are after...
Read moreA friendly, pleasant cafe-restaurant at the foot of the Castel San’Elmo walls. As many other reviewers have noted, it is fairly expensive but you are paying for the view and proximity to the excellent Castel. We had a table outside by the walls at around 7pm. Not big but fine to sit and admire the views and watch the world go by. Really friendly, prompt service from the waiting staff. A cocktail, tiramisù, pizza slice. Bottled beer was EUR4.50-5. Somewhere to go for a slow drink and pause rather than linger for hours - unless you have the money to burn! I would certainly go back if visiting the...
